@AusHCPNG Hope there's a strong O&M plan in place. We've had too many donor funded energy projects in the past that fall apart within months to a year simply because there's no plan in place to ensure systems are operated well and routinely maintained.

CRMF recently trialled a grid-connected PV system (zero export) in Lae for the EBC to mitigate the high cost and the unreliable supply. After a year, results show they can pay off the SMA-based system in 2 more years. I think they've proved that it's possible, even in rainy Lae!
