She praised the work of community groups, volunteers and local football club Éire Óg for supporting residents and young people overnight. Many families were forced from their homes, with some children going to school this morning without their uniforms. Police have cordoned off the Aldervale area following the discovery of a suspicious device. Officers are expected to remain at the scene for several hours. Cordons are in place on the Tullygalley road. This is the second alert following last night’s evacuation of the Pinebank area after another suspicious object was found.
