All these Europeans are complaining that Americans are suggesting improvements to soccer. Improving things constantly is why American GDP is $30T and you still have no AC in 2026. In our own sports, we've fixed overtime rules in the NFL, flopping rules in the NBA, and added the pitch clock in the MLB, all in the last few years. Adapt or die.

Really my only complaint about the World Cup, and soccer in general, is that some of these important matches get decided by penalty kicks. Is there not a better way to decide who wins than something that is pretty much almost just a crapshoot guess about which way the ball is gonna go? I’m thinking some form of double overtime that tilts the offense/defense balance to encourage a winning goal, such that the deciding play is still scored by live action instead of a static play.

@urboldforthat @endmeslime If a foul is called on the keeper the rest of the play doesn’t matter. So whether or not a goal is scored it’s gonna be a FK. So ya, it’s very much in his best interest to draw a foul by flopping :) Hope that clears up your confusion
