It was great to be welcomed to Bermuda by Premier Burt in my first official visit as U.S. Ambassador. We discussed bilateral issues and how we can deepen the U.S.-Bermuda partnership. We also welcomed continued collaboration on advancing shared interests.

It was a pleasure to meet with Governor Murdoch and Deputy Governor Morgan on my first official ambassadorial visit to Bermuda. We discussed the rich history between the U.S., UK, and Bermuda and how to ensure our countries remain closely aligned on shared security and safety priorities.

It was a great honor for Harriet and me to join the State Visit hosted by President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcoming Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla to Washington. In this 250th anniversary year of America’s independence, this memorable visit was a powerful reminder that our two nations, born of conflict and shaped by shared history, remain united by common values and enduring friendship. As the President said: “Thank you to our friends, the United Kingdom, for the richest inheritance that any nation has given to another.”

Outraged by the appalling terrorist attack in Golders Green today. This repeated targeting of the Jewish community is an attack on the values of decency and religious freedom that all democracies must come together to defend. Our prayers are with the victims, their loved ones, and the wider Jewish community.

I am appalled by the attempted attack at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last night. I am grateful to the brave men and women of the Secret Service who acted quickly to ensure the safety of the President, First Lady, and all guests. Political violence has no place in our democracy.

Great to meet with @bnyglobal Global Head of Asset Servicing Emily Portney at the Embassy to discuss strengthening U.S.–UK financial cooperation, deepening capital markets ties, and supporting innovation to drive jobs and economic growth on both sides of the Atlantic.

Thank you to TheCityUK for the invitation to speak at your International Conference. From my past in finance to today as U.S. Ambassador, one thing is clear: when the U.S. and UK work together to support free markets and innovation, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.

I’m grateful for the men and women who have served and who are currently serving in our armed forces. It was a privilege to meet our brave @USAirForce personnel who are stationed at RAF Fairford and to personally thank the Airmen from my home state of Arkansas. They truly represent the very best our country has to offer. Their commitment and sacrifice keep us safe both domestically and abroad.

I welcomed a delegation from St. Louis and their guests to celebrate the launch of @British_Airways' new direct service between London and St. Louis. From the Gateway Arch to the Thames River, this new route will foster innovation and trade between our two nations. Congratulations to all on this historic, maiden flight!

It’s almost been a year since being sworn in as U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James's, and I am encouraged by the efforts that Mission UK has made in implementing the agenda of @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump. Yesterday, I convened a townhall with my team to thank them for their exceptional work supporting Americans abroad and strengthening our relationship with the UK. I am grateful for all that we have accomplished together and excited to build on that progress in the year ahead.

The iconic Winfield House has long stood as more than a residence. It represents our shared history, common values, and the deep bonds that connect our nations. At the direction of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, I am honored to have signed a new, 150-year lease, ensuring that Winfield House will continue to serve as a place where leaders meet, ideas are exchanged, and the U.S.-UK partnership grows ever stronger.

It was a pleasure to welcome First Lady Cecilia Abbott to the U.S. Embassy in London to discuss the official launch of the State of Texas United Kingdom and Northern Ireland Office, a major milestone that will deepen U.S.-UK economic ties. As the UK is already a top investor in Texas, this new office will serve as a vital bridge for business, innovation, and shared prosperity.

Freedom of speech is essential to the prosperity, innovation, and stability of open societies. Today’s announcement to strengthen the powers of the UK higher education watchdog to prevent censorship is a step in the right direction, ensuring freedom of expression in academia is protected and influence by hostile states is prevented. gbnews.com/news/free-spee…

I strongly condemn the recent appalling arson attacks targeting Jewish communities in London and hope the perpetrators will be swiftly brought to justice. I am grateful to the police, fire services, and local authorities for their rapid and professional response. We will continue to work closely with the Jewish community and UK Government to confront the rising antisemitism that is pervading our societies.

On this Yom HaShoah, we honor the memory of the six million Jewish men, women, and children who were murdered in the Holocaust. The Holocaust shows the horrific ends to which antisemitism can lead, and teaches how indifference and inaction in the face of evil can bring catastrophe. The United States is committed to ensuring that such hatred will never be allowed to rise again.

Harriet and I look forward to joining @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump and @FLOTUS Melania Trump in welcoming His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla for a historic royal visit. As we mark the 250th anniversary of American independence, there is no better moment to celebrate the enduring bond of friendship between the United States and the United Kingdom.

Harriet and I welcomed friends from the Christian community for an early Easter celebration. It was an opportunity to reflect on the sacred message of Christ’s resurrection, one of hope and renewal, that lies at the heart of this holy season.

Great to meet with Linda Cook from @Harbourenergy to hear more about how they support a secure, reliable, and affordable energy supply to the UK. We need all forms of energy, including oil and gas, so the UK can meet its growth agenda.

Last night, Harriet and I officially welcomed our Deputy Chief of Mission Robert W. Thomas to London with a reception at Winfield House. Robert has a wealth of experience as a diplomat, and I am delighted to have him on my team as we work to deliver @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump’s goals and deepen the U.S.-UK relationship.

It was a pleasure welcoming to London @UnderSecE Jacob Helberg and @USCTO47 U.S. Chief Technology Officer Ethan Klein.  We focused our discussion on the U.S. - UK coordination regarding AI, quantum technology, and critical minerals. Ensuring our countries are closely aligned on future technologies is vital for international security and safety.
