@varshos_glove It’s not rigged. Never said it was. Not mad at Gunnar. Mad that umps are still human. Enjoy the series win.

@user184894956 Of course I would be pissed it’s a ridiculous play. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be pissed. You absolutely should be seething mad. You should be at the rule for being dumb, you should be mad at Gunnar Henderson for a lack of effort… but saying it’s “rigged” is pathetic

Orioles Jackson Holliday is tagged out because Louis Varland was smart enough to actually try and tag the guy out for the 2nd out of the 9th inning Orioles fans are so funny man
Jake Rill@JakeDRill
Orioles' Jackson Holliday was ruled out of the basepath here as he grounds out for the 2nd out of the 9th inning:
English

@varshos_glove @Seventeen2Four You can’t possibly believe a tag attempt wasn’t made.
English

@user184894956 @Seventeen2Four He’s definitely further than 3 feet, but that only applies when a tag attempt is made. Other wise every runner rounding first to go to 2nd base ever would be called out.
English

@varshos_glove Now you’re just arguing inches. Just admit this is bullshit. If this happened to the Jays you would be pissed out of this world.
English

@varshos_glove @Seventeen2Four You’re right. He gets 3 feet. Was he within 3 feet there?
English

@Seventeen2Four @user184894956 Ernie Clement does not have to be directly beside the fielder, actually
English

@PastTheEyeTest @GholaHenderson @avondisse Then a run scores for free. The base line rule is specifically there to prevent runners from stealing outs and time wasting for other runners to advance. Varland did what he did bc there were no other outs to get.
English

@GholaHenderson @avondisse I watched it again, it wasn't obvious but yea he did. But he should've done what Varland just did
English

People are saying the umpire is at fault, but Gunnar didn't even attempt to make a tag. If he did, there's a much higher likelihood of the runner being called out.
That being said, the umpire has been fairly one sided today. (Umpire auditor from @avondisse)

Past The Eye Test@PastTheEyeTest
Blue Jays should be thanking Gunnar Henderson for gifting them 3 runs
English

@BlueJaysExpress @NaeNaeTakes You are correct. He was clearly out. The argument, however, was about consistent umpiring (or lack thereof), not whether he was out or not.
English

@user184894956 @NaeNaeTakes Also tagged him so there wasn’t much of an argument
English

@NaeNaeTakes Totally. That was just Alby getting some steam off his chest (rightfully so) when he realized that the game was over.
English

@user184894956 Yeah that’s why I said I get why they’re arguing. But obviously they’re not going to overturn the correct call on the grounds that “we fucked up one earlier”
English

@alivegolden_ @BlueJays Direct your thanks to Nic Lentz. Happy birthday mane.

@BlueJays GAME AND SERIES WIN ON MY BIRTHDAY THANKS FOR THE GIFT JAYS ❤️🩹

@hollowayhoejs @RaysBaseball @budweiserusa @Orioles Thanks to your team there is something to play for now. Thanks for the life!
English

@RaysBaseball @budweiserusa I’ve never seen @Orioles fans so excited about a sweep. It’s as if the team was 10 games under .500 with the biggest signing in the offseason, and nothing left to play for 1/4 into a season
