After shipping 250+ apps and making $3M+ with AI, I built a course for @lovable apps—and I'm giving it away. In the past two years, we cracked the code to building apps with AI. Refining our process as the tools got better. I've distilled everything into this single document. Comment "Build" and drop a follow. I'll DM it to you. P.S. This will likely blow up, so give me some time to reply.

Our pilot of new incentives to remove failed asylum seeking families will save taxpayers up to £20 million. Here's why 👇 1. It costs 158k to put up a family of 3 in an asylum hotel for 1 year. It costs 48k more to forcibly remove someone. A 10k per person incentive, up to a max of 40k per family, will save money. 2. If someone refuses an incentive, we will move to a forced removal. If you have no right to be in this country, you should not be allowed to stay. 3. There is nothing new about incentive payments. The Tories did it. Even Reform say they will do it. 4. Higher incentives have worked in Denmark. 95% of returns there are voluntary. 5. These incentives are not a pull factor. Asylum claims in Denmark are at a 40-year low. And asylum seekers spend tens of thousands of pounds getting to this country, that's more than any incentive payment. 6. This is a pilot of 150 families. We will see if it works and scale it if it does. That's taking a smart approach, that saves taxpayers' money, to restoring order at our borders. I make no apology for doing that.

He built this app in 3 days. Now it makes $40K+ per month. 58K downloads. 6.7K reviews. 4.9 star rating. I called up @maubaron and we discussed his app growth for a few hours. Here’s the top 5% of our chat: > How he built the entire app in 3 days (4:00) > The videos that got him 1K paying users (7:20) > How many times he posted until it worked (7:50) > The onboarding tweak that 3x’d conversions (9:41) > How TikTok Spark Ads took him from $2K → $20K/mo (11:27) > The exact stack he uses to run his $20k MRR SaaS (14:10)

@ukhomeoffice This farce is making the Rwanda scheme look brilliant! Why should illegal migrants get any financial aid and housing? If I strolled into India would they give me accommodation, food, money etc? This is wild.

Illegal migrants who break the law, refuse to leave the country or work in the UK unlawfully will face losing their accommodation and financial support. The British taxpayer will no longer foot the bill for asylum seekers who break the rules or can support themselves.

@pmitu I’ll join your engagement farm. I’d say vibe coding to MVP*, whereas vibe coding to actual viable, stable, compliant, secure is pretty close to marketing difficulty IMP (considering marketing is also becoming ‘easier’ every day with new tools and GTM approaches)

Boring Innovations
Boring Innovations@BoringIntell·
The boring pattern nobody talks about: incumbent app loses momentum, viral newcomer gains traction with a simpler UX and AI gimmick, incumbent buys newcomer instead of improving its own product. Instagram did it with stories (Snapchat clone). Meta did it with WhatsApp. Now MyFitnessPal is doing it with a calorie scanner built by teenagers. The real story isn't the teens. It's that a 20-year-old app with 200M users couldn't ship the same feature internally. That's the boring crisis of big tech — innovation costs less to acquire than to build in-house.

@gregisenberg It’s not fake and well done to them, but they just ripped off the idea from others. The only think they should get praised for is their GTM viral-led marketing approach…

this is one of those stories that sounds fake but is inspirational teenagers frustrated with calorie tracking build cal ai, use chatgpt to teach them code, lean into viral short-form content instead of fundraising, grow to ~15m downloads and $30m+ in revenue, and sell to MyFitnessPal while one of them is still in school this story breaks brains because it goes against the script you were handed: get credentials, raise capital, move to silicon valley, wait your turn - ai removes the skill excuse - the internet removes the geography excuse - distribution replaces the funding round the onus shifts back to the individual please don't wait this is the best window in history to ship your ideas, learn in public, and keep the upside
Zach Yadegari@zach_yadegari

Cal AI has been acquired by MyFitnessPal 🚨 Henry and I started Cal AI as 17-year old high school students with one mission: make calorie tracking easier with AI. In just 18 months, we’ve helped millions of people lose millions of pounds. And we broke $50m in ARR along the way. We are at an incredible inflection point in history where ANYBODY can build a product that can improve lives and make millions. As founders, we get a lot of praise. The truth is that this would not have been possible without our incredible 30+ person team. We are so proud of what this team has accomplished, and are thankful to everyone that has been instrumental in Cal AI’s development and success. Cal AI will continue as a separate app from MyFitnessPal. The combined team will share resources to continue helping people achieve their fitness goals!

@craftnames @jamesiles That would be really interesting to share...I don't see how it is sensitive and could be generalised/annonomised, it would be really transparent for investors to see 'progression' to attact users more to use GD landers..ie we did X, Y happened...

@usermove_com @gregisenberg This is very false. I built flutter apps with Cursor a few weeks ago to sate my curiosity about this too, and the process was so seamless. It integrated with supabase and stripe really well.
