So @CMOMaharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis and DyCM @SunetraA_Pawar say they will demand the death penalty for the r@pist Bhimaji Kamble in the Nasrapur case by constituting fast track courts. But wasn’t it this very thick-headed, corrupt, shameless judiciary that released Kamble on bail after his arrest? Also, even if fast-track proceedings work and a lower court awards death penalty to Kambli within a year, even then it will never be carried out. High Court, Supreme Court appeals will eat up another ten years. After that, human rights activists will file mercy petitions, then the matter will go to the President. In all of this, at least twenty years will pass easily. Let’s look at the data, in the last 15 years (2011–2026), India executed a total of only six people on three separate occasions — Kasab, Afzal Guru and Yakub Memon were Islamic terrorists, while the Nirbhaya convicts were hanged together in 2020. The Nirbhaya r@pe took place in December 2012; the hanging was carried out in 2020, a full eight years later. And that too after fast-track courts and all the rest of it. Today, approximately 564 prisoners across the country are awaiting execution. Since 2020, not a single person has been hanged. A worthy elder brother to this vile Kamble is Nagpur’s Vasant Sampat Dupare, who has been enjoying government hospitality for the past seventeen years. In 2008, he abducted a four-year-old girl from the Wadi area of Nagpur, sexually assaulted her, murdered her, and disfigured her face to conceal her identity. In 2010, the Nagpur Sessions Court convicted him and sentenced him to death. In November 2017, the Supreme Court upheld his conviction and sentence, but last year, in 2025, that very same Supreme Court set aside its own earlier order and sent the matter back for fresh sentencing, because the honourable judges apparently want to conduct a psychological evaluation of the accused and consider sympathetic circumstances before awarding the death penalty! SEVENTEEN years have passed since a 4 year old child was r@ped and murdered, yet Vasant Dupare is alive and well, living it up in jail at the taxpayer’s expense. The same will happen with this Bhimaji Kamble. Instead, I request the Maharashtra government to hand Kamble over to the mob. The Maharashtra Police are well accustomed to it anyway, handing people over to mobs. In the Palghar massacre, the police literally held the hands of those innocent Hindu sadhus and delivered them to a violent mob. But nothing of that sort will happen with this despicable monster. He will be kept alive at the taxpayer’s cost, and two years from now, when everyone has forgotten everything, our great judiciary will ensure that he will walk out on bail and take the life of another innocent girl. His name is Major Deependra Singh Sengar. He grew up in Jalaun district, Uttar Pradesh. Studied at Sainik School Rewa. Commissioned into the Indian Army’s Parachute Regiment Special Forces in 1991. His fellow soldiers called him Rocket. In 1998, during an anti insurgency operation in Guwahati, he eliminated two militants and was hit by two bullets that tore through his abdomen. Doctors said recovery would take 18 to 24 months. He was back in action in one year. During recovery, he sneaked out of hospital wearing a colostomy bag, hired a car, and travelled five hours to attend a colleague’s wedding. When the Kargil War began, he went back into combat. He led his team to capture Neelam Post, the highest post captured by the Indian Army in the entire Kargil engagement. In September 1999, an AK 47 burst shattered his hip bone. He barely survived. The doctors told him he would never walk again. He lay on a hospital bed on traction and studied mathematics eight hours a day. A nursing assistant sent his twelve year old son to help him with calculations. Six months later, Sengar hobbled on crutches to a CAT examination centre. He cleared CAT. Received admission offers from 15 of India’s top 16 business schools. He chose IIM Ahmedabad. Attended every class on crutches. Interned at Lehman Brothers in Tokyo. Graduated with distinction. He went on to work at Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Genpact and Microsoft. He walked without crutches a decade after doctors said he never would. He received 12 military medals including a gallantry award. In 2021, ZEE5 made a web series on his life called Jeet Ki Zidd. Two bullets could not stop him. A shattered hip could not stop him. The doctors could not stop him. He just kept going. Follow for real stories India never makes headlines about.

I don’t need lessons on democracy, public discourse or decency from anyone, especially from @DrAMSinghvi . Decency and him can never be in the same room. The real issue here pertains to a woman - who has nothing to do with politics - but has her character assassinated on national television using FORGED documents from other countries. I am confident the courts will take note of this, sooner or later and the guilty will be punished for his brazen act of maligning a woman's character using false documents to influence electoral outcomes. The Marichjhapi Massacre of 1979 — A Betrayal of Hindu Refugees Have your heard of it?? If not please share. They kept muslims refugees though!! Hmm The Marichjhapi Massacre remains one of the most painful betrayals in independent India—a permanent stain on the legacy of the state government in West Bengal. This was a state action against its own people-Hindu refugees who had already endured the trauma of Partition. After 1947, lakhs of Hindu refugees from East Pakistan were uprooted from their homes. Many were sent far away to inhospitable regions like Dandakaranya, treated less as citizens and more as a logistical burden. While in opposition, leaders of the Left Front-including Jyoti Basu—spoke of their return, giving hope to displaced families that they would be allowed to resettle in Bengal. When power came in 1977, that hope turned into uncertainty. Around 150,000 refugees attempted to return. Orders were issued to push them back. Yet thousands persisted. Nearly 20,000 Hindu refugees reached the remote island of Marichjhapi in the Sundarbans. There, they did what refugees always try to do—start again. They built homes. They created fisheries. They opened schools. They turned isolation into survival. But the state saw defiance. A blockade followed. Food supplies were stopped. Boats were intercepted. Access to drinking water and medicine was cut off. Hunger became policy. Then came force. In May 1979, police operations began to clear the island. Eyewitness accounts speak of huts burned, people fired upon, and families torn apart. With communication restricted, what happened next was never fully recorded. The death toll remains unknown. Some accounts claim bodies were disposed of in nearby rivers like the Raimangal leaving little trace behind. No official closure. No full acknowledgment. Just absence. For decades, this episode remained outside textbooks and public discourse. Not because it didn’t happen but because it was easier not to remember. Marichjhapi stands as a reminder that even after independence, Hindu refugees already displaced once could still find themselves unwanted, unheard, and unprotected. Some histories are not erased by accident. They are left behind—waiting for someone to bring them back into the light.
