iOS16 (or at least that's when I noticed it...) simplified this to one step, 🎉

1) if you get an automated spam message you can respond “STOP” to block them. 2) there’s a phone number you can forward spam messages to alert your carrier I think it would be nice to respond “SPAM” to a message to forward and block in one step. Is there a drawback?

@tiptoptm @thesephist Fractal books! I’ve been wanting to write a book from an outline, but this would be even better. Different “breakpoints” show different content that summarizes the next layer (or is auto generated for existing books).

@thesephist Are you imagining eg the entire document is auto-summarized, then when you expand part of it you get a more detailed summary covering just that part? Like you have a language model generating summaries for whatever fraction of the book you’re zoomed in to?

I've been thinking about what better interfaces for reading should look like. When I have a PDF or blog page, how can workflows / mechanical tools help us understand it faster than by just skimming linearly? Have you found any unique demos or ideas/research?

@thesephist For the first, seems like it depends if it’s a lucid dream. If lucid, yes. If not, seems like it’s driven by unconscious. Whether the other people are conscious would depend on if you think astral travel is possible!

When you dream a dream with yourself in it doing stuff, is the you in your dream conscious? If the dream has other people doing stuff on their own, are they conscious themselves? If you answer yes, then no, why? Aren't they both simulations in a sense?
