@pluginvulns I totally agreed with you. As mentioned, this is just a temporary solution. Abandoning OptionTree leaving the themes stop working wouldn't be the best option either. We are working on updating all of our themes with a new plugin. Thank you for the information! :)
@uxbarn The reason OptionTree was removed from the WordPress Plugin Directory was due to this authenticated PHP object injection vulnerability pluginvulnerabilities.com/2018/11/06/ful…, so you are introducing a publicly known security vulnerability directly in to your themes, which seems like a bad idea.
We are updating our themes to include the OptionTree plugin directly in the package. This is just a temporary solution while we are searching for an alternative to it. All the details about this change will be posted anytime soon.
Hi @valendesigns, We have recently found that the OptionTree plugin is no longer available on wordpress.org's plugin repository. Do you know what happened and will it be available again? Thanks!
If you are experiencing a problem downloading and installing the OptionTree plugin, please check out the solution here: uxbarn.ticksy.com/article/13960/
We really wouldn't recommend using the Gutenberg plugin on your production site as it is currently not stable and might break after it is updated to a newer version...
