Nigerian administrator Samson Adamu has been appointed Acting General Secretary of CAF, replacing Véron Mosengo-Omba. He is the son of former FIFA Executive Committee member and former Director General of the Nigerian National Sports Commission, Amos Adamu. Samson Adamu is the first Nigerian to be appointed to the position since the continent’s football-governing body was founded seven decades ago. He replaces Swiss-Congolese Veron Mosengo-Omba, who tendered his resignation the same day. Before his appointment, Adamu was the CAF’s Director of Tournaments and Events. His name was proposed by the CAF Executive Committee and ratified by the Congress, at its meeting of Sunday, 29th March 2026 at the Giza Palace Hotel in Cairo, Egypt.

I’ve been seeing talks about this filing of taxes deadline for March 30th failure of which would attract penalties. But I find it ridiculous that there was no massive educational campaign on how to file, the deadlines months ahead. Just plain threats and vibes. Ridiculous
