Let me tell you about Wole Soyinka, a supposed professor and Nobel Prize winner, who has done more harm than good to this country. He Started the Pyrates Confraternity back in 1952 at University of Ibadan. That group later turned into the root of violent cultism in Nigeria. Today, cultism has destroyed so many lives, and properties. Yet Soyinka still defends it like it’s something good but it doesn’t stop there. He became actively involved in politics during Jonathan’s era. He was very vocal and critical of his government and even urged Nigerians not to vote for him. At the same time, Soyinka also criticized Buhari’s government. In interviews, he said Buhari’s government had “failed” on security and was incapable of uniting Nigeria. Today insecurity has tripled and the economy is at an all time low. Soyinka has avoided giving a full assessment of Tinubu’s government. He said he wanted to wait until Tinubu had spent at least one year in office before judging the administration. Even after that one-year mark passed, Soyinka said he would speak “when there’s something to say” and rejected pressure from Nigerians demanding a formal evaluation of Tinubu’s government. It’s now clear that his criticism on past government was driven by tribalism and hate, not because he wants good governance. Wole Soyinka will forever be remembered as the face of cult violence that’s still taking lives. He is a national disaster & a bigot History will never be kind to him👍🏿
