Europe achieved absolute AI safety by simply not having a frontier AI industry. Can't have an AI apocalypse if you're not in the race. 🤷‍♂️

@theo My theory: they planned to launch Opus 5 but for all the Fable hype they disguised it as Fable after ban was lifted 🤷🏻‍♂️ Not sure if that is even possible to do but would explain lot of things

My theory: Opus 5(.1) was meant to replace Fable 5 for most dev work. It would be cheaper and bench nearly as well. My guess is that it didn’t perform as well as they hoped, and the delays on Fable were attempts to improve the new Opus. I would *guess* we’ll still see a be Opus in the next few weeks. Disclaimer: this is 100% speculation and I have zero insider knowledge
Claude@claudeai

Beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will be included in all Max and Team Premium plans, at 50% of limits. Pro and Team Standard users will continue to have access to Fable via usage credits, and will receive a one-time $100 credit. Demand for Fable has been challenging to predict, which is why we rolled it out to subscription plans in stages, extending access several times as we secured additional capacity.

Well I must say it is totally different experience compared to when you need job, it is much more fun and chances for them to wanna hire you are already higher immediately. I had actually a number of interviews like that and helps you put a price on your work. Plus it can be fun 🫣

I just had a job interview. I have another one on Thursday. And I'm not actually looking for a job 🤣 While I was job searching and applying to tens of them daily, no one noticed me. Now that I have a job, recruiters have been hunting me down on LinkedIn 😁 It's the same with a boyfriend/girlfriend. Find one to find a better one 🤣

@v_jug My main complaint is how slow they got. Spawning subagents for every little task.

@CodeWithTamara I been using Claude models since 3.5 but if there was no Fable I would probably switch already, they lost lot of their edge imo... and also they really annoy be with their marketing approach, went from hero to zero in my eyes

@v_jug Yeah, those numbers are crazy. I've been a Claude fan, but I messed around with GPT lately and was pleasantly surprised. I expect Grok will surprise me even more. Honestly, I like the race, we should start betting on these models like on horses 😂

@jayergolf @cursor_ai @poteto I use it for planning phase in Cursor but also with Claude code and in both feels faster compared to Opus that I previously used. Haven't done benchmarks on it but work just feels more fluent

@v_jug @cursor_ai @poteto Is it faster than Opus using composer as the planner for both? Or just outright faster regardless, in your experience?

We had a team of agents rebuild SQLite from its 835-page manual. It created a replica in Rust which passed 100% of a held-out test suite. Interestingly, cost varied 15x depending on which model mix we used.

Little bit diabolical, but here it goes... I have a set of people who I speak to and ask for advice just so that I can do complete opposite because I think their opinions are the worst ever so if we totally disagree I know I am on the correct path 🤷‍♂️

@jayergolf @cursor_ai @poteto It is still faster than Opus in my experience and Composer is so fast that it might still be faster overall. I must admit I am bit impatient for Composer 3 already, 2.5 feels like being there forever compared to all those updates lately 😬

Well I can't take all the credits, I seen @CasJam using it so I decided to give it a try. This is now my go-to tool for "synchronous" work. For "asynchronous" work across multiple hosts I use @MulticaAI which has been my one of my fav tools last couple months, maybe you should check that out too ;)

When I was using OpenClaw it begun to be really tiring waiting what’s the next thing it will break with new version and with Hermes haven’t had much issues. OpenClaw always had more spirit and I loved talking to him but with Hermes even more dry in convos it is much more efficient. I think OpenClaw should be rewritten from scratch for long term better experience
