delphi is by far the best place I have ever worked, which makes this a hard one.
when I joined, I knew I wanted to focus on perps bc it was the business/vertical I was most bullish on in tech outside of ai. the team encouraged that, but also pushed me to explore other verticals across crypto. i did, and I’m grateful for it. but I kept coming back to perps, market structure, microstructure advantages, and the teams trying to bring more of global finance onchain while also creating a durable business. hyperliquid was the obvious clear winner. but over the last year, @Lighter_xyz has continually impressed me
the more i got to know the strategy and team, the more bullish i became. the leadership, bd team, engineering talent, and advisors - who were actually hands on with the company - only increased my conviction that this was a team to bet on. lighter is one of the few teams in crypto where the talent density feels closer to a silicon valley ai startup than a typical crypto company
so after an incredible run at @Delphi_Digital, i’ll be leaving to join lighter full time
i want to thank the delphi founders, specifically @anildelphi, @Kevin_Kelly_II, and @YanLiberman, for their mentorship over the last year along with @ceterispar1bus, @yeak__, @momilio, @tempst0, @ashwathbk, @DeFiMinty, @kyletrimble and @0xdaft for being elite colleagues who operate at such a high level of integrity and inginutiy. i think delphi is the best run multi-business-line company in crypto, and I have no doubt it will be a generational business and hope to continue to work with them in some capacity in the future.
but i’ve had the operator itch since my tradfi days. i’ve always wanted to be closer to the builders/innovators helping build, compete, and scale something in a market i deeply care about. when the opportunity came up to do that with lighter, it felt like a perfect fit
