The fall of Assad vindicates the way Biden and Netanyahu ran their policies in recent months. It had three components.
Lebanon: Israel launched the war in Lebanon with precision and purpose. It also stopped once it reached its goals. The Biden administration helped negotiate a beneficial deal. The result was a victory that shattered Hezbollah's capabilities and left them incapacitated.
Iran: Israel and Iran traded blows for several months. Israel clearly got the better of the exchange, making Iran look like a paper tiger. Biden managed to limit the exchange and prevent it from getting out of control. That stopped Iran from being able to help Syria, along with the damage to Hezbollah.
Ukraine: The Biden administration gave Ukraine the support they needed to survive the Russian onslaught. So much so, that the Russians were unable to help Assad survive.
Though Netanyahu and Biden deeply dislike each other and had very problematic cooperation, it worked. Thanks to both of their efforts, Russia and Iran are now much weaker. Syria fell at least partially as a result of that.
Put aside partisan proclivities and give credit where it is due.

Over the past 24 hours, thousands of TikToks (at least) have been posted where people share how they just read Bin Laden’s infamous "Letter to America," in which he explained why he attacked the United States. The TikToks are from people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Many of them say that reading the letter has opened their eyes, and they’ll never see geopolitical matters the same way again. Many of them — and I have watched a lot — say it has made them reevaluate their perspective on how what is often labeled as terrorism can be a legitimate form of resistance to a hostile power. This is not limited to TikTok; similar videos have been posted on other social media platforms. The Guardian had a copy of “Letter to America” posted, but once these TikToks went viral, the Guardian took it down, which has only led to more interest in the letter and conspiracies from TikTokers who say this is part of the media and the powers that control it trying to silence the truth.

And some families have to choose who eats” - Gaza @AP To obsess about Pro-Ceasefire protesters using a phrase "from the River to the Sea" that also exists in the Likud Founding Charter, and which has been used for half a century as the justification for a programme of illegal Israeli settlements which are now making a just peace almost impossible, but at the same time to remain completely sanguine, and silent, about the actual hour by hour, block by block massacre of innocent children, surely represents a total loss of all moral bearings.

I was sent this picture of my book that someone bought from Amazon. The book was totally defaced. Free Palestine stickers were put all over the book. This is unacceptable.
