That’s what I tried telling people. Bazzite is an operating system people recommend when they think you’re a genuine idiot. Immutable OS’s are cool, but the problem you don’t have control. You will need a package one day that isn’t already preinstalled or a Flatpak. And you’ll be sitting there left holding what you have.

@1casie Bazzite is pretty big unapologetically. It has a lot of default apps with a fair few of those being Flatpaks. The ISO also requires a fair few tricks which increase its size. Omarchy is that big because DHH is a hack lol

I had such a terrible experience on Bazzite that I avoid it at any costs, I rather tinker CachyOS, LM, even base Fedora before going to Bazzite.

This PS5 linux video by @GamersNexus was funny to me because they run into all the snap bullshit i tell people to avoid the distro for. Personally I think fedora or @bazzite_gg should run a lot better on the PS5. Last I checked the PS5 linux loader isn't really doing anything super special to the distro.

Just make a Containerfile that imports bazzite or bazzite-deck, adds the PS5 bullshit, then use bootc-image-builder to make an ISO. Just saying shit for the sake of it dawg lmao
