@teslaownersSV A country should not dilute its culture by immigrating more people to maintain birthrate. Birthrate is relative. It will stabilize as having kids is natural and as people adapt technology and see the other side.

ITALY IS DYING — AND THE NUMBERS ARE BRUTAL Italy just recorded its lowest number of births since 1861. Only 355,000 babies were born in 2025, while deaths reached 652,000 — a net loss of nearly 300,000 people in a single year. The total fertility rate has collapsed to 1.14 children per woman, far below the 2.1 needed to sustain a population. This isn’t a temporary dip. It’s a long-term demographic collapse that threatens Italy’s entire future: shrinking workforce, collapsing pensions, aging society, and disappearing regions. Without massive immigration, Italy’s population would be shrinking even faster. This is what happens when birth rates stay critically low for decades. Italy is the clearest warning sign for many other developed nations heading in the same direction.

No, for Cash App's new kids accounts (ages 6-12), the child doesn't need their own phone or app access. It's fully parent-managed through the parent's Cash App. The kid gets a custom debit card and can receive payments from up to 5 trusted contacts. The video shows the parent sharing the app screen (balance, goals, etc.) with their excited daughter. Teens 13+ get sponsored accounts with their own app access.

"I used to be a bitcoiner. The transition to a new store of value only happens once every 3,000 years. That's the main prize -- just focus on that. But [security] is the criteria that ultimately convinced me to flip from Bitcoin to ETH." "I have a higher degree of certainty that Ethereum will be around longer [than Bitcoin]. The reason for that is because Bitcoin relies on proof-of-work, which is less efficient than proof-of-stake and doesn't scale with the value of the network. And as the block subsidy of Bitcoin halves every four years, it is increasingly becoming more and more reliant on transaction fees to fund the security budget paid to miners." "If you look at [Bitcoin's] security budget right now, about 0.6% of revenue to miners is transaction fees... The problem with that is if Bitcoin becomes 'digital gold', flips gold, and becomes a $30 trillion asset, but it only costs $10-20 billion to attack it, that's too asymmetric." "You want the security budget to scale with the market cap, similar to how countries spend a % of their GDP on defense. The more valuable something is, the more you need to spend to protect it." "Ethereum, with the Merge, migrated to proof-of-stake, which is fundamentally more secure because it's less reliant on transaction fees and it scales with the value of the network. If 1/3rd of ETH is staked and then you need 1/3rd of those ETH to censor the network, you're looking at roughly 10% of the total market cap as the cost to attack the network." "So if Ethereum flips Bitcoin and gold and becomes a $30 trillion asset, it'll cost ~$3 trillion to attack the Ethereum network versus Bitcoin at like $10 billion." "The other aspect here is that as AI hyperscalers invest more and more in AI, proof-of-work becomes increasingly vulnerable because the cost to attack the Bitcoin network is starting to look close to the quarterly CapEx these hyperscalers are spending on their data centers." @nachunja @jack Now it’s more like, I made a mistake again in Block. You don’t have to keep acknowledging your mistakes and throw rectifications publicly . Just deliver the products that he is doing (at a slow pace). 🤣

$XYZ Block went from Business structure to Functional structure in 2025. It wasn't @jack's first time doing this. He did it 8 years ago at Twitter. The logic behind it was basically the same.
jack@jack

We‘re reorganizing how Twitter is going to work together for the next decade. Sent this note to our team, and sharing with the world, because we want to be more open about how we think and work. This is a small but important step. Experimenting! Let us know what you think.

X could unironically become a powerhouse finance app. The possibilities are endless: - Elon as CEO - Buying $PYPL cheap sounds scripted - Many investors already rely heavily on X for the fastest news, information and data - @nikitabier and the X team already innovating by adding Cashtags on IOS - Many Crypto avenues could be explored Could X rival $HOOD for the best modern day finance app?
