No, for Cash App's new kids accounts (ages 6-12), the child doesn't need their own phone or app access. It's fully parent-managed through the parent's Cash App. The kid gets a custom debit card and can receive payments from up to 5 trusted contacts. The video shows the parent sharing the app screen (balance, goals, etc.) with their excited daughter. Teens 13+ get sponsored accounts with their own app access.
