@vamdirect @IsmatAraa No mall in Delhi blast their AC at 18 degrees. Most malls operate at the standard 24 degrees celcius.

Malls in Delhi have AC blasting at 18°C. The street vendor outside, selling water bottles, sits in 45°C. While some of us in Delhi 'discover' the heatwave when it grows 'unbearable', many are forced to live its consequences. Wild idea, but why can't we have outdoor air conditioning and cooling systems in public areas like Dubai, Qatar have? Delhi is NOT fit for human inhabitation, not anymore.

India's capital markets are full of duopolies. MF backend = CAMS + KFintech Depositories = CDSL + NSDL Exchanges = NSE + BSE Brokers = Zerodha + Groww If the market grows, these businesses grow with it.

Dad’s favourite song. Missing him today. Recorded “Saranga teri yaad mein” and shared it with the team, and they insisted I put it up. Fair warning, I’m no singer. 😬

With the approval of Delhi Metro’s Phase V(b), the total span would become 503 kms from existing 393 kms, surpassing the likes of London, New York, and Moscow metro network. 6-6.5 million trips daily, metro has become the lifeline of Delhi. Pic : existing metro network lengths

So many decisions in life are probability based - should I book overseas flights now or will oil prices come down later in the year ? - will global equities continue to outperform year on year ? - is insurance for critical illness cover worth it ? - will my business grow as predicted ? - how long should wealth last in retirement ? One decision does not depend on probability - to work really hard and use all available technology to power your business. Can't go wrong !!

Seems new branding by Coke. Haven't seen in India yet. Brands reverting to their original avatar. Black and white-ish !

well said @Nithin0dha . There are two type of NRIs 1. Those who go overseas to work but maintain strong ties with India and invest in property and family relationships . They are sometimes in countries where they will not get citizenship ( like in the Middle East ). Such NRIs , at some point return to India. 2. Those who go overseas with a clear intent to take citizenship elsewhere ( US, Canada, UK, Australia , etc ) . they may inherit property but will liquidate it at some point. Friction exists in both categories. Can the best legal brains assess true risk and convert all processes to being fully digital. The holy grail is when NRIs can invest in " clickable" assets and also sell property without "paper". The other aspect is fear of the unknown -!i.e Taxation. With that mindset, a lot of friction will reduce. Happy to volunteer to make some practical suggestions.

One thing that feels under-discussed in all the conversations about attracting foreign capital into India is the Indian diaspora. There is a large population of NRIs who are emotionally and financially interested in investing in India. But today, for many of them, the process of opening accounts, completing documentation, and actually investing in Indian markets is still far more painful than it needs to be. Making life easier for NRIs could be one of the lowest-hanging fruits for attracting long-term capital into India. This is something we’ve been focusing on heavily at @zerodha as well. Over the last year or so, we’ve made several changes to make investing as seamless as possible for NRIs. But there are still many frictions that exist because of regulatory and compliance requirements. Hopefully, SEBI and the government look at this more closely and think about how to make it easier for NRIs to bring money into India and participate in Indian markets. For a country trying to attract global capital, the Indian diaspora seems like the most obvious place to start.

@mybmc pls do something about this footpath right on Marine Drive opposite Marine Plaza hotel. Senior citizens pass by and it's disaster waiting to happen. BMC staff pass by everyday and many times a day when some VIP visits. I'd be very concerned if I am the first one to report it. Apathy leads to nothing. Thanks in advance @suchetadalal @MumbaiFootpaths @RoadsOfMumbai @Mumbai
