Don't worry, the Major Combat Operation isn't anything like the Special Military Operation. 4 weeks tops, in and out, lets go.

@cirnosad I was thinking they would only enter the war once an aircraft carrier tries to pass Yemen. It's the best chance they would get.

@JefferyPetts As a consequence, they believe these values are simply "good people" values, and so believe that all immigrants, 3rd worlders etc will quickly adopt them

@AridoAmSubstack I used to think golf courses and lawns were to blame, but I found 75% of your water is used for agriculture and I think most of that is for alfalfa.

You know what climate change doesn't cause? Avocado Farms, Almond Farms, Casino Fountains, Suburban Waterparks, AI Data Centers, Industrial Dairies with fans to keep cattle cool. Yet all waste absurd amounts of water that are used in the southwest. borderlore.org/its-gonna-be-o…

I believe in climate change and it's clear snowpack is low. But the issue with water isn't as much climate change and snowpack. Even in such environments, with the right methods; most can get by because they did historically. What's hurting these rivers is absurd abuse.

The real NEETs are American soldiers getting paid scammer wages in a social democratic subsidized housing blocs where they mostly jack off & play video games in between bouts of pointlessly torturing each other. Truly the most bizarre thing about our society is that the Military is just America’s form of theocracy— reddit “big science” theocracy wherein UFO demons provide magick weapons to epic bacon thor punisher guys. It’s military base hooters as theocracy— a society of “rugged mystics” new age tattoos wife swapping homoeroticism & hoo rah. Everything about the military is so relentlessly gay in the literal & schoolyard bullying sense. Just look at the casualties in the Iran war; discord moderators & reddit power users. Furry technocracy. Pervert empire.

Indigenous tribes are quasi-state entities that wield the power of government but with none of the accountability or legitimacy. Why would we want them to govern anything? The principles of liberal civilization demand that tribal “governments” be abolished. Indigenous tribes merit no sovereign governance for the same reason we don’t allow Apple or Amazon to buy city-sized land plots to unilaterally govern themselves. Indigenous communities are welcome to incorporate a Society or utilize contracts to exercise their freedom of association within their own neighborhoods, the same way Strata or HOAs do. The idea they should govern these as their own quasi-sovereign states within Canada, though, is insanity.
Aaron Pete@Aaronpete_

Caroline, Again, I’m not endorsing their approach but don’t you think it’s relevant that they say the task force has no authority to make decisions and “Land back does not mean removing people from privately owned property. Instead, the task force focuses on restoring Squamish Nation governance, stewardship, and cultural connection to lands currently under public jurisdiction,” the report reads.

@RealCalebMaupin Um, no Caleb. I hate Ben Norton, but @BrianJBerletic says something similar and he's not a leftist. Since when does the borrower have more power than the lender? US pays for everything in Israel, it's a satellite of the empire.

The “Israel is just a scapegoat” line pushed by Ben Norton and others is crypto Zionism. If the KKK lynched a Black man they wouldn’t say “he’s just a scapegoat, racism is caused by capitalism” If a man raped a woman they wouldn’t say “He’s just a scapegoat, sexism is caused by capitalism” They jump at every opportunity to call Red State Americans, Christians, etc “racist” “fascist” etc. But for some reason, while Israel commits the most heinous crimes and pushes America into an unpopular war… “They know not what they do! Israel is just a tool of US imperialism!” Give me a break. This is pure racism & crypto Zionism. They think white American workers are evil, and gleefully celebrate their hardships, while making excuses & trying to ease the blame on Zionism. I’m sick of this. I dealt with this BS for years in @workersworld

Already posted this in another thread but here's a very interesting Ynet article describing how Ben Gurion is still in a state of (severely disrupted) operation despite regular drone, rocket, and missile attacks on it from Iran and Hezbollah. Here are the changes they've made: - 80 aircraft were immediately evacuated from the airport at the start of hostilities - Ynet's tour began with an immediate descent into a shelter within the airport due to a real air alert, which happens multiple times a day - Specialized vehicles constantly clear the runways of debris - Check-in and screening for passengers has been moved to locations in close proximity to air raid shelters - Only one cafe and one duty shop is open, all other shops and restaurants in the airport are closed - Only one commercial concourse is open - Commercial aircraft only stay at Ben Gurion for the minimum window required to land, pick up passengers, and depart - Each time there's an air alert, any plane preparing for takeoff returns to the terminal so the passengers can run to a shelter. If there's not enough time, the passengers evacuate the plane through emergency exits and lie flat on the runway while covering their heads until the alert is over - Only 2,300 people (including staff) are allowed in the airport at any given time, so evacuating all of them to shelters is possible - Only 100 passengers are allowed on a plane - Only two flights are allowed per hour - ATC is fully integrated with the IAF to allow US and Israeli military planes to conduct operations, which take priority, - Planes regularly have to circle the airport or turn back entirely due to air alerts - No foreign airlines are operating out of the airport - New bomb shelters are being continuously added in the hopes of expanding capacity for passengers ynetnews.com/travel/article…

Opening the Straits of Hormuz (at least partially so warships can pass through) is an implied task for taking Kharg Island. After that’s completed they might take Kharg. You can tell who understands military planning based on whether they find this immediately obvious.
Amerikanets 📉@ripplebrain

To help those who believe there will be an amphibious landing on Kharg Island, here’s a map. Note how Kharg Island is in the western end of the Persian Gulf. Note where the Strait of Hormuz is. Consider that there are no US naval assets anywhere in the waters portrayed in this map. Ask yourself why.
