@vaneyghen @jeffrey_way Great method, but missing rep tracking. Jeffrey Way's whole point is logging reps to hit those 1% daily improvements. Without numbers, you can't see the progress
English

@MoZaySaeid @jeffrey_way I do it old school, works better than any app I tried. And it is always visible on my desk to remind me!

English

@jeffrey_way i feel it's extremely painful to track, maybe because of the uiux is overwhelming in most of the apps

@wesbos @taylorotwell @panic Things rocks!
It is made by Cultured Code I think:

Vue makes the list.
What else do you think does?

“High quality software is infinitely available” I feel like I’ve only encountered like 8 pieces of high quality software in my entire life lol

@cooperx86 @marckohlbrugge I made the same move and no delivery issues at all. And bill went from 15/m to 2/m.
English

@marckohlbrugge Sidebar question: did you actually experience better deliverability after making the move? Historically, SES was not known for great deliverability and Postmark very much was, so I'm intrigued if it's changing.

@poorduder @JohnONolan One of my hetzner vps went down for an hour a few weeks ago due to a Hetzner issue. But it was only the first time in two years. 👌
English

VPS people love to flex when AWS goes down, but they always overlook the bigger picture
When AWS is down, everything is, so nobody is angry with you. The entire internet blames Amazon and you're off the hook
When your VPS is down, nothing else is, so all customer focus is on your dumb infrastructure and why haven't you fixed it yet? What the fuck is a "hetzner"? I want a refund.
Source: 15 years of running infrastructure that isn't on AWS.

@adriaandotcom custom molded ear plugs to sleep, used those foam tips way too long

@J_L_Colvin @levelsio I have a roost with a 16” mbp. Very sturdy and can vouch for it.
English

@levelsio Do you think the Roost is good enough for a 16” mbp? All the stands I try don’t feel solid enough.

@rikarends What AI do you use that allows you to upload that many tokens?

@thesamparr @RealRossU Was just looking this up- didn’t realize that inmates have internet and phone access to manage one’s twitter account from prison.

@levelsio @AnthropicAI I use Claude and GPT with Pal chat on iOS. Can add your own api keys.

I'm trying to switch to Claude iOS
But the UI is so annoying, and my friends say the same thing
ChatGPT is nice cause the UI is basic:
- black on white
- sans-serif system font
Claude UI is agressive and opinionated and annoying to look at:
- dark gray text on paper color background
- serif font
Also more annoying stuff:
- you can't select in the text like ChatGPT to copy something, you have to select the entire message, then a pop up, tap Select, then an very odd textarea type window opens where you can select, it's just not intuitive at all
- you can't attach an image on iOS, literally ANY image you try will error out
Whoever made the ChatGPT iOS app is a genius, it's simple, basic, fast, just works, not opinionated, not annoying
I really wanna switch to Claude though!

I track my sleep by waking up and seeing if I feel rested or not
I track my workouts with a piece of paper

Chain@achxvi
@levelsio @vladeku What do you wear boss? How do you track your workouts/sleep?
English

@AndrewJDavison @thesamparr Dopesick is the better of the two imo. Could be because I saw it first though..
English

@thesamparr Which show did you prefer?
I've seen the Netflix one, but people say Dopesick hits harder.
English

Went on a Sackler family binge (creators of oxycontin).
Read Empire of Pain as well as watched Painkiller on Netflix and Dopesick.
I don't think I've felt this much anger towards someone in a long time. What a horrible, yet fascinating, family.
The patriarch, Arthur, was an amazing entrepreneur. Built an empire from scratch and had hit after hit.
Had multiple winning businesses. That part is inspiring.
However, he was as unethical as it gets and his marketing techniques killed millions.
He helped pioneer pharmaceutical marketing, which in itself maybe isn't bad, but he'd just blatantly lie.
Fake claims in the ads of zero side effects, fake testimonials, fake doctors.
In the 60's he owned the medical publications the ads were in, he made the ads, had people on the payroll in the FDA to get the drugs approved.
Then, in the 90's the Sackler family took his techniques and applied it to Oxycontin. And that's when things went crazy.
I can't stop reading about these folks. Any other good content on them?

@databrecht Worked wonders for me too. Books are great and are easier to study at your own pace than videos.
English

- Open your laptop.
- Ignore most of the internet
- Take a book that has great reviews
- Code!
Is an approach that will lead to less suboptimal maximums.
Pratham@Prathkum
Don't think much: – Open your laptop – Open YouTube – Type HTML crash course – Watch first video – Ahh! Don't like it? – Watch another – Makes sense? No – Watch third – Makes sense? Great! Follow it That's how I started.

@rikarends What about wedding photography or press pictures where you want the real thing captured?

@rikschennink @ayushtweetshere Loved the three body problem trilogy 😍. Enjoy!
English

@ayushtweetshere Love this tip "Watch a short video of the author to internalise their "voice"
Just ordered paperbacks of "The Three-Body Problem", "Children of Time", and "The Martian" and going to try that out.
Don't read before going sleep as you'll forget.
