Waterhemp hiding, scout your wheat fields after harvest and do not let these go to seed, next year's weed control starts now!

#agrisagronomy change the maps up a bit looking at soil moisture as a % of field capacity. 0% would be permanent wilting point and 100% is all pores filled and excess water drained by gravity. Needless to it changes the growing environment.

With the Enlist E3 soybean system sometimes we get droopy beans as seen on the left side. Don’t worry it’s part of the process the bean plant goes through metabolizing the herbicide. Within 24-36 hours they will be back to normal. It’s a good sign things are actively working.

A lot of areas received rain now we just need to work on mother nature to clear the smoke, add more sun and this crop will really march along! A quick snapshot of solar radiation 2023 vs 2022 for one plot location in Eastern Ontario. #ontag #SendSunPlease #CropPhysiology

@kevinki16180099 Partly, the GDD accumulation was slow ,that means an extended grain fill period. Takes 660 GDD to complete grain fill the cooler day lengthens grain fill, warmer days shortens it. Looks like a 35 day grain fill period instead of 30 to 32

#agrisagronomy i have been asked why we are behind in CHU, number of factors, smoke, up until recently cold night temps and cold lakes . Our climate is heavily influenced by the lakes. water temps have begun to increase in the past week.

@TonyDeblock Giant Silk Moth, used to find them all the time when working in Organic Apple Orchards. Host trees are Maples, squirrels are big fans, not harmful or poisonous, just a giant Caterpillar.
