Our goal with "gpt5.1 thinking" was making thinking models usable as *daily drivers* for productive usecases. That's why we focused on improving the model's efficiency with its thinking (~60% less thinking on easy prod queries) while retaining accuracy! If you use ChatGPT for work I'd recommend trying it out as your default, and lmk what you think! Left plot: 5.1's thinking is more adaptive than for 5. Right plot: 5.1 is more efficient with it's thinking than 5 when evaluated chat conversations (lower left is better).

Omarchy 3.1 is going to ship with a Windows VM installer in the box. Fantastic way to run those few apps you can't get on Linux in their own workspace.

@thdxr a cool idea is to add a "lazy prompt" bench. Most of these people don't elaborate much their prompts, so best model for them could be the one that understand them with less info (not always because of lazyness but just not experts at prompts)

ending these debates is a reason we're working on opencode bench real world codebases and tasks and will include dimensions for speed and cost people saying some model is good or bad do not redo their tasks with other models to see that you'd get the same result faster
