man my X feed is full of this "dump nextjs for tanstack" posts and i once fell for this hype when svelte was the new kid in town… and guess what .. it was a huge mistake. Always go with the tools which are industry standard. You have.. - big community with lot of support - mature system - tons of guides, templates, external tools - most jobs are nextjs related - payload cms needs nextjs - verbose but very powerful and complete solution Next has no vendor lock, vercel just makes it easier to get started. You can still run it on your own docker vps even with ISR support People who complain (and i was one of them too some time ago) just have a skill issue because of how verbose it is. Learn how to write good code, learn which hooks when to use and how to write optimized code. Tanstack is not mature and will cause you more headache in the longterm. Its totally fine to use it in a hobby project though
