I am very tired of SpaceX getting accused of being a monopoly when literally everyone said what they were doing was impossible and then refused to try to do it, leaving SpaceX with a massive competitive advantage when they actually do it Starlink is the only one of its kind.

There should be rules and referees for any field. For example, pro sports could choose to have no referees or rules, but they do not, because it would make the games worse. We should have a reasonable set of regulations and regulators for matters affecting public safety, not too few and not too many. There is not currently an effective mechanism in government for removing bad regulations or agencies that have negative net public good. That’s why there needs to be a dept of govt efficiency to force garbage removal of bad regulations and negative net good govt agencies.

@AutismCapital Yeah. At the time, I thought teachers were demented to have little kids read Lord of the Flies. I accidentally read Animal Farm when I was maybe 8 or 9 and thought it was a book with talking animals. Kept expecting the story to turn around, but the horse never did come back 😢

The older we get, the more we appreciate that some of the books they forced people to read as kids actually slapped. Forcing kids to read Brave New World, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, Lord of the Flies, or any other iteration of overreaching government/the evil of man was based AF.
