what is happening with codex and gpt 5.6 sol? I literally use my weekly usage in 3-4 hours, this doesn't seem healthy at all

@AmedeoBiolatti @steddyman @PalmerLuckey @IsabeauVidal So the original claim was false. London is not safer than any city in the US. Also, homicide isn’t the only component of “safe”. Would you feel safe in a city where phone snatching and robbery are everyday occurrences?

It’s almost comical, and certainly scary, how clearly intelligent people fall for the dumbest right-wing propaganda. Yes, Palmer: London *is* much safer than any comparable size US city.

@sytelus Yes. Now I went back and wanted to check whether earlier models could solve this. Just to be sure that it was 5.6 Sol which was needed. But ChatGPT 5.5 finds the arxiv paper posted 3 days ago which has a solution. So I can not repeat the experiment.

Crazy times! On July 22 we found a solution to one of the five major problems in quantum information theory usig AI. The problem is distillability or un-distillability of Werner states. We checked the computations and they are correct. The really crazy thing is this: just around this time there were 2 other groups who cracked this. First there was a group who just recently posted a paper about this on arxiv, it appeared on July 23. Second, there was an announcement from a different group yesterday (July 24) with no arxiv but a public overleaf. We can prove that we had the result before the arxiv paper appeared, and we can post our new paper on monday, it can appear on tuesday. So everybody was pretty much around the same time. Interestingly, our proof is different from the one on arxiv. AI model: ChatGPT 5.6 Sol Human authors: Thomas C. Fraser, Felix Huber, BP and István Vona

@sdflbb @joni_askola @PalmerLuckey Safer than 15 major US cities ≠ safer than any US city, which was the argument. Also do you really think safer city = lower per capita homicide rate? By that logic a city with constant phone snatching, knife robberies and street crime is safe as long as fewer people die.

The Economist had a short window to interview the guy who’s arguably advancing human capabilities more than any other single individual in many generations. So of course they spent it lecturing him for holding the ‘wrong’ political views, and telling him people ‘loathe’ him, because he refuses to accept their deeply ideological, midwit interpretation of reality and parrot groupthink as they do. And they think this is all a big ‘win’ for them. So embarrassing.

Palmer Luckey is one of the most intelligent and groundbreaking entrepreneurs in America right now Unless he is being malicious here, his media environment has shaped a narrative in his head that is completely untrue Nobody is safe from social media distorting their reality

@viktaur27 @Teslarati The rate of improvement from original GPT to GPT-3 is impressive. If this rate of improvement continues, GPT-5 or 6 could be indistinguishable from the smartest humans. Just my opinion, not an endorsement. I left OpenAI 2 to 3 years ago. Am a neutral outsider at this point.

🚨 France officially considers Tesla #FSD unsafe in its current form and will not approve it yet. A senior official states: • At least one hand must remain on the wheel. • Several other European countries share the same safety concerns. • France supports the tech, but prioritizes full safety across Europe More data & improvements needed. #Tesla #FullSelfDriving #AutonomousDriving #EV
