"SocialFi is accidentally starting to change the rules of the game"
What I think about the SocialFi direction.
At least I follow two projects - Kaito and Ethos, and I'm trying to figure out the latter especially.
At the moment, I think that the contribution you make to the development of your profile is the most important thing you can do in 2025-2026.
Since the era of complete anonymity in crypto is already in the past, and you are increasingly asked to link a 0xAddress using KYC, this makes all participants public, and Ethos brings something very important to this system: reputation and trust.
I also see a minus in this - the reputation system can play a cruel joke, where your score will speak louder than you, and for you. For example, you can be quite decent, but if you somehow ruined your score - you will be listed as a villain in the system.
Content monetization is another plus that clearly changes the rules of the game. Platform X gives you the opportunity to monetize your work, but it does it with some peculiarities, you must have at least 1000 followers, and have some popularity. SocialFi introduces a rule that now quality > popularity, which of course makes popular users focus on quality, and not popular ones to give a boost for their work.
This area definitely deserves attention, and if you are still hesitating to start - then start searching for info now - because this is the future.
