The $BTC CME Futures Open Interest is sitting at about half of what it was during the peaks throughout 2025.
The market has unwound a massive amount of leverage and open interest in USD terms since the 10/10 flush and following price action.
All that matters now is for spot and ETFs to eventually find a proper equilibrium where the market can find it's footing again. The market is at least very far from getting hot anytime soon. So even if we'd see some relief somewhere in Q1, there's plenty of room in that regard.

Do think a large move is due here soon, seeing the way this is compressing.
If BTC can keep grinding higher, I think ETH will also perform well on the way up. Invalidation for ETH/BTC is below 0.032.

$ETH Has been testing its 0.032 ETH/BTC ratio level several times this week and it has been holding as support nicely so far. Also with the Daily 200MA/EMA now caught up. This is a big reason why ALT/BTC pairs have been strong and $BTC.D has been turning. Good area to watch as a clean invalidation level for altcoin strength. ETH/BTC has been respecting these horizontals quite well.
