Something crazy about Uber: I just paid $67 to ride from SFO airport to downtown SF and the driver got only $27.
Uber kept 60% and left the driver with 40% which is wild. I thought Uber take rate was like 25%!

every 16, 17, and 18-year-old i know who is making $20k+ a month online shares one trait. zero research phase.
no three books on personal branding before posting. zero 4-hour courses on agency operations before signing the first client. they didn't agonize over the logo, the domain, the legal structure. just posted, cold dm'd, delivered, got paid.
the adults i know stuck at $5k/mo took 8 months to "validate" the offer. researched competitors. analyzed market saturation. journaled about the perfect niche. by the time they launched, the window was smaller and they were already exhausted.
action without research catches up to research without action 9 times out of 10. and it gets there faster. and it learns more.
if you've been in research mode for more than 30 days on an offer, you're stalling. close the tabs. send 20 cold dms tonight. you will learn more in the next 4 hours of doing than the last 4 weeks of planning.
the dumbest operators in the room are the ones cleaning up.

The new White House policy requiring green card applicants to apply from outside the US is a capricious attack on legal immigration. It will hurt families, leave us with fewer doctors, teachers and scientists, and hurt American competitiveness in AI.

@Nick_Davidov Sure just bring up some exceptions and ignore the fraud committed by thousands of these visa holders. Most of H1b are mediocre and were brought by third world thugs who helped them with fake resumes and fake degrees from India.

The biggest bullshit move by DHS in its history. So everyone on a O1 or H1B visa would have to stop working legally in the US, go back to their country and wait for years of backlog? This includes top scientists in our universities, founders of billion dollar companies (at least 3 just in our portfolio would be affected by the way). And if we look at individual countries it becomes even more bs. Indians would have to wait decades. Russians don’t have anywhere to go (there is no US embassy in Russia, hello?).
This is the worst imaginable way to disrupt important work for the country and pretend you’re fighting some loophole.
