I hear people are vibe-coding but would you let Claude vibe-code you? I plugged OpenClaw into a CRISPR synthesizer and every morning a tiny robot injects me with experimental peptides generated overnight. I'm on my fourth eye and seventh arm already. Very useful stuff!

@daniel_nguyenx Off the cuff guess with zero research or biology background - yawning is a mammal's reaction to low oxygen, a kind of a deep breath. Insects usually take in oxygen from tubes throughout their body. If they do yawn, it's not from the mouth - some insects don't even have mouths!

Kids always ask the funniest questions. My 6yo just asked why insects don’t yawn. And I have no idea how to answer 😂

They should make 4 paid tiers of AI coding models: - Starter: trained on code written by $1k / mo developers - Plus: trained on code written by $5k / mo developers - Pro: trained on code written by $20k / mo developers - Ultra: trained on code written by $0 / mo developers

@GregMolnar @DenLoginoff On the other hand Android contenders like the Pixel or Xiami Pad series have been impressive. I hope the new CEO turns Apple around - I never used their products, but they raised the quality of everyone else. And of course more modular & open-source products from small producers!

This is actually why Apple devices used to be so good. They control the hardware and the software, so everything works well together. Lately it seems like they are losing the plot though. MacOS is pretty bad compared to what it was. I just upgraded an iPad and it also seems like a downgrade.

@DenLoginoff @GregMolnar There's no way any other OS would utilize Apple's hardware as well though, right? Whether it's because Apple is so good at making an OS, or because their garden's wall is so high.

@GregMolnar It will raise the floor - which I think is mostly a good thing. It may also limit the ceiling in some ways we don't yet realize. At this point the ceiling is so high up that this may turn out to be a good thing too.

@levelsio It's completely true. My extension has access to all data on all websites - I've been offered thousands of $ / mo to sell users' data. If you know anything about code (or if you don't), it's safer to make your own. Someday the dev behind your favorite extension may sell you out.

Another Chrome extension allegedly sold to mine your personal information This is an entire black market you'd have no idea existed but it does! Your best bet is to use no Chrome extensions at all, except uBlock Origin for ad block Or better: just vibe code your own so you know what is running in your browser

@levelsio@levelsio

Chrome extensions are so incredibly unsafe Malware criminals find popular ones, pay the owners of the extension lots of money, they add malware to the code and millions of people get infected Then they take your cookies, localStorage, anything they can access Which is why in locked down advanced security devices you can't even install Chrome extensions I mostly run uBlock Origin, but have some others that I'll just vibecode now to stay safe

Hope to see the beta soon. I haven't followed on the latest changes but it was pretty fun when it came out! I made a kanban board with no build step: github.com/vdsabev/remix-… (no, it's not really meant to be used like this)

Found this fascinating. From grok: "The nerve layers in front of our photoreceptors perform sophisticated local computation right at the retina: edge detection, contrast enhancement, motion sensitivity, and redundancy reduction. This greatly cuts down the data sent through the optic nerve (saving energy and keeping the nerve thinner), while still delivering high-acuity vision to the brain.” The blind spot is just a minor design tradeoff.
