working on a new version of my personal site. inspired by the xmb menu on the psp. 3d logos and the whole menu floating in space. every scroll, every selection had a sound. you didn't think about it but you felt it. software used to have texture like that.

added animated icons for every menu item. also spent some time generating assets for my past work. the crosshair is now fixed in place, and the whole page drifts under your cursor like you’re hovering over it. still need to figure out mobile responsiveness/written content

90% of tasks are insanely easy and can be done both by junior or senior with the same quality. You need great minds in the earliest stages: building the core features, creating the visual style, choosing right architecture. After that, it’s mostly just “create sql table/button”

Why do early-stage startups post that they're hiring? In the last 30 days, I've gotten 15+ inbound messages for founding engineer roles with top tier salary and equity from startups that don't know me beyond a few projects and credentials. I already know 10+ engineers and wonderful friends who are insanely talented, move fast, learn quickly, and have proven they can work well with people. At the earliest stages, isn't trust and working style more important than finding a random "10x engineer" on the internet? What am I missing?
