Can someone explain to me what all the No Kings festivals accomplished? Did anyone change parties or their ideology because of them? Was anyone persuaded to join them?

I was on the phone with the IRS today. I need a document from them. They asked me for my fax number. Told them I’ve never used a fax machine. They said they have to send the document in the mail and I’d receive it in 15-20 business days. People on X have wildly unrealistic expectations about AI adoption. The largest employer in America (the federal government) still can’t email documents to paying customers like me. And in 2040, they’ll still be asking people for their fax number.

@jimmychickey @bec102896 The good ol’ days of just a few years ago. A 1 year expiration for travel credits was standard until the pandemic hit. Then travel credits did not expire at all. It only lasted a few years and then the expiration was brought back.

@jimmychickey @bec102896 Not sure what you are implying - Southwest always had a policy where travel funds expiration was based on the day you booked. It’s nothing new. There were tricks to extend the date, however … not sure if they still work today.

@versifier146 @bec102896 That was the beauty of Southwest in the good old days, it didnt matter. They weren't like the other airlines where you had to count days. Now, they are like a more expensive version of Frontier.
