While I am ethically against the death penalty, cannot overstate how important this judgment is. A court in India has finally told the police that custodial murder is a crime worthy of the harshest punishment possible in the land.

Today a court in Madurai sentenced all 9 police officers to death. Their crime was murder. Their victims were Jayaraj and Bennix. A father and son who kept their mobile shop open 45 minutes past curfew in June 2020. They were beaten for 7 hours through the night. Forced to wipe their own blood off the floor with their clothes. Jayaraj had 17 injuries. Bennix had 13. Both died within 3 days. The judge called it rarest of rare. Today India told every police officer in this country. Nobody is above the law. Not even the law itself. Selvarani waited 2192 days for this moment so as we.

You're trying too hard. 1. "This is an ideal in every implementation" isn't a refutation, it just proves those "implementations" weren't Marxist. Again, read Critique of the Gotha Programme. 2. That quote comes from the Communist Manifesto, which specifically was stated to have most parts be antiquated in the 1872 preface. How does a 1848 summed up manual overrule an 1875 analysis of a post-capitalist society (Critique of the Gotha Programme)? The Lower Phase of Communism has explicitly four features, as defined by Marx in the Critique of the Gotha Programme, as the bare minimum: - Abolition of wage labor - Abolition of commodity production - Abolition of the value-form - Social ownership of the means of production. Again, the same challenge as before: name a single "socialist" state with any of these qualities.

Marxism isn't just the restriction of private property. Capitalism is the relation between the employee and the employer, which includes alienation, wage labor, commodity production, and the value-form. Those states abolished wage labor, commodity production, and the value-form. The relation between the employee and employer is the same, just replaced a private capitalist with a state bureaucrat. So, it was still capitalism, just state capitalism. If you read Critique of the Gotha Programme, you'd know this. Anything else?
