I have been screaming for this since 1999 when I entered the film industry as a visual effect artist. I have seen what the tax rebates have done (from other countries and states). It has completely destroyed the lives of hard working people and families; mainly in the LA area. FINALLY someone that want's to level the pl;aying field. The tax break given to bring the work back would pay 10x back in revenue. While that is an over simplification of the situation - the bottom line is correct.

@GavinNewsom I am not MAGA, I am an independent California voter. I have many friends that are far left, and right. MAGA is not scared. You are. THis landmark case just ended racial gerrymandering. Did you ever read the ruling? Study the case? I don't think you did.

I cannot vote for the LA Mayoral race. I live just outside LA, work in Hollywood (literally). I laughed when I heard he was running (true story). I heard him on Rogan. He has a lot to learn - but seems willing to do what it takes. This ad is powerful. Regardless of where you live - the msg is clear.

Hidden in that bill is the means for that tax to shift to other people - those who make much, much less. The "middle class" - all without the ability to the people of California to vote on it, or have a say. It is a HORRIBLE bill. But yes - Newsome talks about the GDP of California being so damn good - then WHY do they need this?

California has 200 billionaires. Last weekend, 1.5 million Californians signed a petition asking those 200 people to pay a one-time five percent tax to keep the state's hospitals open. That tax would raise about 100 billion dollars over five years. The money would fund hospitals, clinics, public schools, and food assistance programs. Why does the state suddenly need 100 billion dollars in healthcare funding? 🧵

You've got spunk kid. I live just outside of LA, work in Hollywood. Literally. When I heard you were running, I had a chuckle. I am being honest. I started paying attention and listening. You've got a looooong way to go - in the sense of learning what it would take to run a city such as LA. My advice? Surround yourself with capable, honest people. Be transparent. As Mayor, having the right people guiding you is critical. This ad will get the "D-machine" focused on you. The heat is about to get insane - no pun intended. Well done on the ad. Probably the best political ad in my lifetime (local, state or national).

Let’s be clear: LA fire survivors who lost their homes shouldn’t have to pay property taxes based on a value of a property that no longer exists. Today my office urged LA County to offer clarity and assurance for these impacted survivors so that they can continue to defer payments without penalty.

No he does not "get it" when it comes to homelessness. Addiction is the largest reason for homelessness - often by choice (they prefer homelessness and being high). His option(s) are to create a housing program that will create a huge amount of debt for CA, and there will be very little improvement. That is IF they are ever built. After all, we have spent over $30 bil by Newsome - and got literally nothing other than a dramatic increase. His statements feed into the ignorance of much of the voting public; however, people are waking up. It IS a solution; however, it is the wrong one.

@LangmanVince As a lifelong Californian I have been reading more and more about each of the candidates. So far he is my favorite. This could change as I read more about the others - but I highly doubt that will be the case. As I sit here now, I hope he does win.

I voted against this. Unfortunately, too many Republicans sided with Democrats and it passed.

No offense, you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. A vast majority of the homeless in California (by a VERY large margin) are living there by choise - because of addiction. Building more homes for them will not get them off the streets. IF they do move into a housing project it will quickly degrade into chaos and slum-like condditions. You want to fix homelessness? Deal with the addiction crisis. What you are saying in these advertisements and nothing more than a red herring.

Too many Californians have no option other than the streets when they hit hard times. That’s why we must build interim housing to get folks indoors and into care.

Here are my thoughts on @TomSteyer. He sounds too much like @GavinNewsom which tells me he probably snorts on occasion. As a billionaire, unlike @elonmusk he has never done anything that changed lives, reality or perception. Money is all he wanted no matter how many people suffered or died. Tom is the standard definition of a greedy old rich white guy. Tom has nothing original to offer, just the same old progressive talking points which is basically “Fuck the American Citizen”. He is the hate that creates hate. Bottom line is this. @TomSteyer is just a stupid person with a lot money. Reject him California! @katieporterca is up next.

Trellis2 has been out for a while. That is an impressive demo that you showed. Yes, it does what yuou described; but the geo that is generated is, currently, good in a limited fashion. As a professional 3D artist the resulting geo has a limited scope. Will this change? I am sure so, but right now - it is nice, but limited in scope and application.

A lack of solutions from Sacramento has handed the MAGA movement too many easy talking points. If we want to stop Donald Trump, we have to stop giving him oxygen and start addressing the issues driving people away from our state. I'm running as a change agent to get it done.
