@ShekharGupta@dgupta_moushumi That's a sad development. It's a beautiful club with a rich history. Seems like a personal vendetta rather than an actual need.
Now this is audacity…Modi govt takes on the real and permanent establishment of India….

How Kerala Hindus Weaken Hinduism in Kerala
After a funeral in Kerala, I was planning to call a cab. Some relatives offered a lift. I declined as I don't like to travel with family members who only talk beef and Kerala politics. But they insisted so I hopped into their car. Big mistake. Here's what happened.
The other passengers in the car were:
1. Seasonal Hindu, age 79
2. Atheist, 54
3. Opportunist, 77
On the way back, Opportunist sees a halal chicken shop. "Aiyyo, stop, chicken only Rs 125 today. Plus chicken parts Rs 50 only."
Seasonal Hindu: "Yes, I need to stock up too."
I protest. "There's a supermarket just 3 km from here. They have much better quality. Plus, it's owned by our extended family."
Seasonal Hindu: "They charge double the price. It is foolish to shop there. I don't know why you waste your money there."
I say: "Well, I like to shop there for their superior quality. Their prices are definitely not double. But let's assume their prices are double; shouldn't we (who have the capacity to spend more) support a Hindu supermarket? Why buy from a halal shop?"
Atheist stops the car. They all jump out like kids at a toy store. I stay in the car. Around 20 minutes later they come back holding large bags of chicken and chicken parts.
Now here's the kicker.
▶️Seasonal Hindu recently sold his ancestral land for ₹2.2 crore. He owns a ₹1 crore home. Has at least ₹3 crore in FDs, chit funds, gold.
▶️Opportunist has a BMW, lives in ₹2 crore home.
▶️Atheist has a Land Rover, thriving business, 3 homes.
And yet to save a few measly ₹₹₹ they buy from halal shops. In fact, they actively share news of newly opened halal shops to save on groceries. In another generation, there may not be any Hindu owned supermarket or large store left in Kerala. Only because we Hindus are constantly seeking bargains at the cost of faith, kul and country.
His name was Ramalinga Raju.
He was born on September 16 1954 in Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh. He studied at Ohio University in the United States and returned to India to build a business empire.
In 1987 he founded Satyam Computer Services in Hyderabad. The name means truth in Sanskrit.
Over the next two decades he built Satyam into India’s fourth largest IT company. It employed 53,000 people across 66 countries.
It had 185 Fortune 500 companies as clients. It won the Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance in 2008.
Then came December 2008.
Raju announced that Satyam would acquire two real estate companies called Maytas Infrastructure and Maytas Properties for 1.6 billion dollars.
The companies belonged to his sons. Investors were furious. They dumped the stock. Satyam lost more than half its market value in a single day.
Maytas is Satyam spelled backwards.
Raju was cornered. The acquisition had to be cancelled.
But cancelling it exposed a deeper problem. For years he had been using Satyam’s inflated balance sheet to raise funds.
If the books were now examined properly, everything would unravel.
On the morning of January 7 2009 Ramalinga Raju sent a letter to Satyam’s board of directors and resigned.
In the letter he confessed that he and a close circle of associates had been falsifying Satyam’s accounts for years.
The balance sheet carried Rs 5,040 crore in cash that did not exist. Revenues and profits had been inflated quarter after quarter.
Thousands of fake employee accounts had been created and salaries siphoned off. He stated that assets had been inflated by Rs 7,800 crore.
He wrote this in the letter, “It was like riding a tiger, not knowing how to get off without being eaten.”
He later admitted that the Maytas acquisition was a last attempt to replace fictitious assets with real ones.
When the letter became public, Satyam’s stock collapsed by 78 percent in a single day.
PwC had audited Satyam’s books every year and certified them as accurate.
Merrill Lynch discovered the fraud during routine due diligence in ten days.
In 2018 SEBI barred PwC from auditing any listed company in India for two years.
Raju was arrested. He later denied having written the letter, his lawyers telling the court it was a hoax.
The court did not agree.
In April 2015 a special CBI court convicted him and sentenced him to seven years in prison. He was fined Rs 5.5 crore.
He has appealed his conviction. The matter remains pending in a higher court.

@ConnectwithJaya Cases like Snehalatha Reddy and Stan Swamy are often cited in debates about civil liberties, due process, and the treatment of prisoners with serious health conditions.
Her name was Snehalatha Reddy.
She was born in 1932 in Andhra Pradesh into a family of second generation Indian Christian converts. Her father had served as a Major in the British Army.
She grew up deeply resenting colonial rule. When she went to college, she reverted to her Indian name, wore only Indian clothes and learned Bharatanatyam.
She became an actress in Kannada and Telugu cinema and theatre. She co founded the Madras Players theatre group.
In 1970, she starred in Samskara, a Kannada film directed by her husband Pattabhi Rama Reddy.
The film initially faced censorship issues before later winning the National Award.
Snehalatha and her husband were close to socialist politics and associated with leaders like George Fernandes and Ram Manohar Lohia.
On the night of June 25 1975, Indira Gandhi declared the Emergency and suspended fundamental rights across India.
On May 2 1976, police arrested Snehalatha Reddy under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act in connection with the Baroda Dynamite Case.
George Fernandes and several others were formally accused of plotting sabotage against the government during the Emergency.
But when the final chargesheet was filed, Snehalatha Reddy’s name was reportedly not included.
She remained imprisoned anyway.
She spent nearly eight months in Bengaluru Central Jail, much of it in solitary confinement.
She had suffered from chronic asthma since childhood. Despite her condition, she reportedly received irregular medical treatment in prison and went into asthmatic coma more than once.
During her imprisonment, she kept a diary.
In it she wrote, “What is the purpose of every human being born in this world? Is it not to lift mankind a little higher towards perfection?”
She was released on parole on January 15 1977.
Five days later, on January 20, she died after her health had severely deteriorated from chronic asthma and lung infection.
She was 44 years old.
Her prison diary was later published posthumously as A Prison Diary.
In 2019, a documentary on her life and imprisonment was also released.
She spent months in prison during the Emergency without being named in the final chargesheet of the case she had been arrested in.
Five days after her release, she was dead.

Mother Teresa left a tremendous legacy of compassion and service. I was honored to visit the Missionaries of Charity today to pay homage to her legacy and to see the living example of the Catholic faith in action.
I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half.
Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.
@gokulchan@ranganaathan As far as the LTTE is concerned, they deserve the utmost contempt, but as far as that main target was concerned, it was a palace coup from within the same household
I may differ with many parties and leaders politically, but one principle remains non-negotiable for me . I can never respect or support anyone who glorifies the LTTE or Prabhakaran.
An organization that assassinated our leader Rajiv Gandhiji can never deserve admiration in any form. Even if it's a leader from INC if in case supports LTTE will face my criticism. That is one major reason why I cant think of supporting NTK.
@gokulchan Tamils don’t respect your indian army. We know your history in Kashmir, Eelam, north east and punjab. You are pigs, incompetent uncivilized and trash

When laws allow extreme measures in the name of public safety, where should the ethical line be drawn between protecting society and respecting life?
And are we applying the same moral standards across all cases of harm and punishment?
@vhas221@krithikasivasw Humans destroyed their habitats, dumped garbage everywhere, abandoned pets on streets then complain when dogs survive around human colonies. Funny how accountability disappears there.
@SouleFacts 😁😅😂🤣 Jaise inke bap ka, ya inki party ka paisa hai
Tax payers money is spent on the development work of state and not that Hindu or Muslim areas. That is MC job.
They created a their own constituency known as 'Hindutva' and now a days such narrative are simply to appease them
Listen to Hojai BJP MLA Dada Shiladitya Dev.
“In time of Voting for Mu$lims Allah come and guide them. But when in need they demand everything. So this time I will also be communal like Congress, and make sure that only Hindu areas are developed who voted us, the Sanatani people, as Congress used to develop only Mu$lim areas. Something which I have learnt from Congress.
BTW this time most BJP MLA of Assam are very vocal against the Shantidoots, and all are speaking in same line.
