Dudes coming into the league with the SGA foul baiting/ flopping package already mastered. Look at all the unnecessary falling & head snaps.. Remember when I told y’all if the league doesn’t stop this we will have 50 SGAs in the league. Here we are 🤦🏻‍♂️

@NelsonReneOk "Barely" If they gave Paraguay 10 more games like that against France with a different referee, they'd have zero goals, and Paraguay would be down to 9 men by halftime in every single one of them. There are no words to describe how absolutely awful Paraguay was in that game.

@AM_1080 Half of Paraguay is defending themselves with victim blaming & the other half is doubling down with your pig senator. You’re all desperately trying to put it back in the bottle but it’s too late. WE SEE YOU PARAGUAY. Your generation will never be able to scrub off the filth.

#Comunidad1080 📻

@CelesteSenadora Evil. Manipulative. Arrogant. Disgusting. Racist. Psychopath. Slime. That’s how 99% of the world sees you right now. I’d tell to be a better human, but that would be a waste of time because you aren’t human, you are a monster.

@Nicocantor1 Nope they set a precedent currently used in the majority of pro football leagues all over the world. No more false reds, no more missed reds. This is way batter. Players get what they deserve. Balogun did not desert red. Period.

Even if Americans are happy that Balogun can now play (myself included), FIFA has just set an insane precedent: Any interpretable red card at the World Cup can now come under scrutiny in hindsight. The referees judgment isn’t final. It hints at the fact that FIFA can do as they please, even if it means disagreeing with the subjective decisions of their own referees. Imagine how Rafael Clauss (referee) and Juan Soto (VAR) are feeling right now? FIFA just undermined their credibility. This isn’t overruling something objective, a decision that’s based on fact. They’re rescinding a decision based on opinion. For as much as I believe Balogun didn’t deserve the red, it’s an interpretable decision. Anything can now be questioned after the fact. And it’s up to FIFA’s “judicial body” – whoever that is, wherever they are – to call make critical decisions as they see fit.

@RPMComo Is it corrupt when nearly every professional football league does it? This was the right call. I hate trump but I’m a fan of justice and this made things right. Where was the outrage when Balogun was wrongfully sent off?

The most telling thing about this is how the Americans don’t see it. If you ever needed proof that they are inappropriate owners/investors/lenders to football, this is it. They genuinely don’t see why we are angry. Reflect hard on that folks. We are being shown the mismatch.

Bombshell day at the World Cup 🔺President Trump called Fifa president Gianni Infantino asking to review Balogun red card 🔺Trump thanks Fifa for “reversing a great injustice” 🔺 In submission to FIFA, US Soccer’s legal team’s case centred around challenging use of slow motion instant replay in decision to send off #USMNT striker 🔺 Belgian FA could take matter to CAS. Investigating all options to “protect the fundamental principles of fair play in our sport”. Say “astonished” by decision 🔺 Rudi Garcia: “I didn’t know that July 5 was equal to April 1 at FIFA. We’re not defending the national team or the federation, we are defending football, its ethics and history” 🔺Gary Neville: “It absolutely stinks”/Ian Wright: “It is shameful” telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

@FrancoPanizo I guess you’ve never heard of the premier league where they rightly do this on a weekly basis. Question for you, why would you not want a bad call reversed? I’ll answer for you, if you want said team to lose. That’s it. Only reason. This was justice.

I know this will rub #USMNT fans wrong way, but this reported decision is bullshit. If you receive a red — controversial or not — you’re suspended for next game. Suspending the suspension is laughable and automatically puts into question integrity of competition. #FIFAWorldCup

BREAKING @TheAthleticFC Folarin Balogun will be available to play the USMNT’s round of 16 match against Belgium with his one-game red-card ban suspended. Extraordinary development. Story with @Dan_Sheldon_ nytimes.com/athletic/74234…

@FabrizioRomano This World Cup has been full of controversies right from before the start of the tournament. It’s crazy how more and more controversies continue to pile up. This one is going to be a story for ages. “FIFA overturned a red card because it was against the host. What a shame.”

@FabrizioRomano He's not wrong though. A red card gets wiped after a White House call? First time since 1962? The optics are terrible. Belgium have every right to be furious.

@crflpereira Truth is, Paraguay should have finished with 9 men. Nothing about their approach was dignified. There were just fortunate to have an incompetent referee. Good riddance
