These toys were around when I was a kid. Not as big as transformers.. but enough to have video games etc. Who remembers the name of them?

@jpalmiotti I think the best way to go with any new title is always with a limited mini-series with a potential for continuing . Doing like a first season of a TV show. If it catches on, great! Do more… If not, move on to the next one

I remember a conversation I had with Mark Alessi running Crossgen comics about his publishing plan. He told me that even if a book was not selling, to keep putting it out because eventually it will gain an audience. I told him that was a huge mistake...just cancel the book at a solid point and create a new series, otherwise he was throwing his money away. He wanted to have me be a part of the company, but we did not see eye-to-eye on the way to publish, so I thanked him and walked away.

Hard disagree. Try reading Conan the Barbarian, Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, and Elric of Melnibone (some of Gygax's biggest inspirations) and you will find a LOT of variety packed into a short story/novella format. The problems befalling a king (Hour of the Dragon), a night of drinking turned into robbery and then a revenge story (Ill Met in Lankhmar), and how to deal with the literal apocalypse (Stormbringer) are just a few case examples.
