Regardless of opinion — and a poll commissioned by police assessing the value of police during budget time is a questionable, politically-motivated reflection of public opinion — decisions around police budgets should be evidence-based. And there is no evidence that increasing police budgets increases safety.

Thanks for posting this - I was just looking for it to amplify it, for those who might be worried about the impacts of this tax increase.
Seniors can defer or cancel their property tax increase until they sell or die - a good program to mitigate the impact of the tax increase for those on a fixed income.

Elder & Secwépemc Hereditary Chief Saw-ses, also a Kamloops Indian Residential School survivor was released from prison this morning after serving 19 days of a 28 day sentence for protecting his territories & asserting his sovereign Indigenous rights against Canadian owned @TransMtn pipeline burrowing through his unceded lands.
