@samheagney Neil Durning, Riverina agronomist spoke about this at Farmlink open day. My take of his talk 🔥 red meat returns should lead to a change of mind set from graingrower to dry matter producer. In Spring you make the decision more $ in harvesting now with livestock or later for grain

Trucking out steers today. Got me thinking... If high red meat prices remain, does it open an opportunity for a grazing period in a rotation that is currently continuous cropping? If a grazing crop can create a >5% ROAM & benefit subsequent grain crops, surely it’s a winner?
