get consumed by your ambitions some people just have it. a kind of fire that doesn't go out when things get hard. you've seen them maybe in your life, maybe from a distance. the person who's always working on something. who talks about their craft like it's the most natural thing in the world. who doesn't make a big deal out of the hours they put in because to them, it was never a sacrifice, it was just their obsession i've been thinking about these people a lot lately. what makes someone like that? what does it actually feel like to be that consumed by something? let me be honest there are days that i look around and feel like everyone else is moving forward while i'm standing still. people landing dream jobs, building things. people who seem to have it all figured out and i'm here overthinking, second-guessing, wondering if i'm even capable. today is one such day it's a heavy feeling. the kind that doesn't announce itself loudly rather it just sits with you. but here's what i keep coming back to : i can't quit. because there's something in me that refuses. a drive. an obsession. this deep, stubborn need to build something, become something, make it mean something. i don't know what to call it except it just keeps me going when nothing else does. and i've started to think that maybe that's enough. maybe that's the whole point. ykwim? nobody tells you that ambition can be lonely. that you can want something so badly it hurts, and still have days where you do absolutely nothing. where the gap between who you are and who you want to be feels so wide you don't even want to look at it i'mm slowly starting to understand that the people who make it aren't the ones who never felt that. they felt it all too. they just kept going anyway ambition isn't about being on fire every single day. it's about knowing what you're after even on the days the fire goes out. so here's what i want to say to you and to myself. stop waiting to feel ready. stop waiting for the day you wake up certain, motivated, unafraid. that day is not coming. and the people you admire? they didn't wait for it either. they just decided. they decided that their obsession mattered more than their doubt. that their drive was worth more than their fear. that showing up imperfectly was still showing up. getting consumed by your ambition doesn't mean having it all figured out. it doesn't mean never feeling lazy, never feeling behind, never feeling like everyone else is winning and you're still at the starting line. It means that underneath all of that comparison, overthinking, the hard days, there is something in you that will not let go. that stubborn, quiet, relentless thingy? that's your direction that's enough to start! and if you think the world is uncertain? the world has always been uncertain. the people who made it through weren't the ones who waited for stability. they were the ones who stayed obsessed anyway. who kept building anyway. who woke up every day and chose their ambition over their anxiety. you can do that too. here's a little message : i need you to be consumed by your ambitions i need you to let that drown out the voice that begs you to hide because there's no deeper betrayal than abandoning who you can become if you're still reading this thankyouuu for your time, means a lot lovee y'all <3

It may seem like everything is alright with me, but IDK why - I feel stuck in my life man. I think I have been juggling wayyy too many things at the same time without giving any of em my 100%. Kinda like a CPU that is round-robin scheduling a 100 different things, but executing each at like 30%.

Here's an instant life improvement hack. Stop watching the personal lives of people on social media and start reading / learning about the secrets of the universe, or biology, or any deep science. You will be in awe of the world that you're part of. You will feel good about consuming something of substance instead of feeling terrible after comparing your life to someone else's who is also feeling terrible comparing their life to someone else's. Break the loop.

Major cheat code for life: Increase your recovery speed. You will get rejected. You will lose money. You will embarrass yourself. The goal isn't to avoid the fall. It's to shorten the time between the fall and the reset. The ultimate life hack is the ability to quickly reset and recover. From a poor decision. From a bad interaction. From a missed workout. From a bad day. You can start over whenever you want. You can't always control what happened, but you can control how long you carry it. Fast recovery compounds.

working in cafes is gay amateur activity you're not a girl bro stop tryna feel aesthetic while drinking your mochaccino it's extremely hard to focus there cuz of noise, people, distractions... then you spend there 4 hours, $25, and get done maybe 10 minutes of real work AND on top of that you complain about how you're grinding i get 12 hours of work done in 3 hours: - dark room - headphones with flow state studio - monster or coffee - velo - water - 90 minute timer - phone in another room then i can go to the cafe and actually enjoy my time while you're spiking your cortisol because you can't focus btw the timer is the most important part without it you don't notice time passing and you procrastinate with it you're forced to use the time that you have ONE rule: do NOT switch tasks during the 90 minutes the second you check a DM your focus resets to zero takes 15-20 minutes to get back into flow state so if you check your phone 3 times you never actually entered deep work you were just sitting there pretending 2-3 of these blocks per day and you outwork every cafe guy with a macbook and an oat milk latte

@hanikarak_ Maybe a significant portion of similar intellectual quotient. You can think differently and still connect but, having a comparable level of intellectual engagement often reduces friction and builds comfort faster.

Hot take: Being hard on yourself just to earn friendships and escape loneliness never worked for me. It only made me lose parts of my real personality. Extra effort is fine, but khud ko pagal bna bna ke jo dost kamaye bhi, woh kaise dost? For them, you’re just an asset;)

One good thing that came from that phase is becoming more aware of who I can turn to for help or even just a conversation. I rarely share such personal things, but it felt important because no one teaches you how to deal with moments when you’re completely alone.

6 months ago, I experienced anxiety for the first time while sitting alone at home. I didn’t understand what was happening and had no support. This is the first time I’m sharing it out loud. But looking back, it made me much more aware of myself. Continuing in the thread...
