Arranged marriage is such a weird concept to me.
In India, marriage is treated like the biggest achievement, but many times it feels less about love or finding a life partner and more about having kids. Some people even think marriage has no purpose without children.
Arranged marriage could actually be a nice idea if there was enough time to truly know each other first. But the idea that your parents are choosing the person you’ll spend your whole life with, even when you barely know them, feels really strange to me.
Like, imagine your parents finding someone and saying, “Yep, this is the person you’re going to marry and sleep with for the rest of your life”
It’s just crazy how normal this has become.
