3. Docker your backend 🐳 ✅Simplifies deployment across cloud environments ✅Solves "it works on my computer" problems ✅Prepares you for future scaling (e.g., Kubernetes) ✅For Python? Go with gunicorn + threaded Flask for heavy loads. 🐍

@chydorina @bristlehealth Which probiotics do you use and which strains do you find important? I read L. reuteri is quite important with gum disease

I started tongue scraping after 4 @bristlehealth tests over 5 months showed only very marginal improvement in my dental health - despite starting many new dental interventions. Given the links between oral microbiome and dementia this was a big issue for me. Mouth goes to gut and gut dysbiosis will be messed up if oral microbiome is pathogenic. I dont have a post-test yet but I do LOVE tongue scraping. I also swish with probiotics like its mouthwash. I have SEEN a huge difference in my mouth and am excited for the next test.

Do you clean your tongue? Tongue scraping is a great way to reduce bad breath but it might also reduce your risk of cavities. This graph shows the bacterial load of Streptococcus mutans (bacteria indicated in cavities) before and after tongue scraping.

Sunlight is good for you, it also causes accelerated skin aging and cancer. 1) Rule of thumb: get sun exposure when the UV index is below 3; early mornings and late afternoons. 2) Don’t get burned. 3) When the UV index is >4 , wear a hat (with a brim circumference of roughly 3 feet) or use a UV umbrella. 4) Use sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB. 5) Use a mineral sunscreen if possible. 6) A burn is potentially more dangerous than a chemical sunscreen. Try to avoid both. 7) If you dislike sunscreen, refer to 1, 2, and 3.

FYI the only differences between high end barefoot/minimalist shoes and vans slip-on are: 1) Marketing (apologies if this is your first time hearing this—you’re a good consumer). 2) ~$115

@thenickholz Is taking supplements with half a glass of water before a meal also detrimental?

Stop drinking fluids during meal time. Fluids dilute your stomach acid, leading to… -Bloating -Acid reflux -Increases in blood sugar Many fat loss “experts” tell you to drink water so you don’t consume as much food and can lose weight more easily But what they don’t understand is that most of the food you’re eating will go through your colon undigested So your body retains less nutrients from your food, energy levels tank, and digestive discomfort ensues. Is the 200 calories you’re skipping out on really worth all these issues? On the flip side…drinking water 30+ minutes after a meal will reduce hunger signals and help your body absorb more nutrients from your food. Give your body do one thing at a time. It will reward you in excess.
