Today Mumbai Police restored my faith in public service. Lost my phone in a cab. Reached out to Rapido — got the standard “not our responsibility” response. Walked into Dahisar Police Station at 2:10 PM expecting paperwork, delays, and dead ends. Instead, the inspector and his team treated it like an urgent mission. Calls went out immediately. Search teams were activated. By 2:40 PM — just 30 minutes later — they had tracked down the cabbie and recovered my phone. Unreal. My father’s phone got broken today, so he asked me if I could go to the repair shop and check whether it could be repaired. I went to the shop, and the repair guy said they would have to replace the entire body and display. It would cost around ₹6000, and since the model is old, he would have to bring the parts from far away. He also said there would be no warranty after the repair. I told my father everything, but he still said to go ahead with the repair and send the QR code for payment. Of course ,I’ll pay. But I’m really confused whether I should repair it or not. Will the phone even last long after such a repair?
