@vinnymckee I may not agree with its choices for what it included entirely but trying not to overthink those little details and move on

My new subscription reminder emails
Uses a custom shortcode for full display, pulls custom text which Claude automatically updates via wp cli every 3 months by analyzing the changelog for the last year. Builds higher level improvements into a single paragraph summary.

Thanks for the reminder @BeaverBuilder - been meaning to add this to my reminder emails as well with what has been updated in the last year.

@KatieKeithBarn2 Awesome idea! Especially for Shopify which IMO is a more complex environment where customers can get stuck or confused.

A Shopify app founder tweeted that they'd started offering free setup as a way to get more reviews. Brilliant idea - I can't believe I'd never heard of anyone doing it before!
So I've rolled it out for our Shopify apps, and am now trialling it for 2 of our WordPress plugins plus our All Access Pass.
I think the benefits go way beyond reviews. But the reviews are just the start. Free setup should also boost conversions (as we'll mention it on our sales pages), reduce refunds, reduce support tickets (we can even fix bugs/compatibility issues we spot without bothering the customer), and teach us loads about how people actually use our products. And if we spot a really impressive site, it's an opportunity for a case study 🙌

New: We'll now set up your plugin for you, free of charge 🎉 Have you bought Document Library Pro, WooCommerce Product Options or our All Access Pass in the last 30 days? Tell us what you need and we'll set it all up for you. Request your free setup: barn2.com/free-setup

@rizaardiyanto I like the background image but one thing to watch out for is accessibility. E.g., will the color contrast of the orange text be high enough if it overlaps a different part of the image at different screen sizes?

@remkusdevries Not at all. They’re the assholes for not responding during their livestream!

@briancoords @WPMoree Thats awesome, thanks for sharing. Love the voice notes, I need to try that.
English

@vinnymckee @WPMoree Recorded long voice notes of ideas/concerns and used that to draft a plan with Claude. Then I went step by step, sharing examples, docs, Gutenberg features, etc at each step to get code that felt close to core.

On our way to #CheckoutSummit, we drove through Switzerland and found ourselves on a car train unexpectedly 😂

Today's AI experiment: Extract design system on Googles Stitch and then create a WordPress theme based off it using Telex. ;-)

@aurooba I know that feeling. Thankfully the weather is getting nice where I live.

@vinnymckee @Gtarafdarr We already rank organically for the Barn2 keyword so we don't want to pay affiliates 30% for people clicking on ads for this keyword.
English

Our affiliates constantly break our terms and conditions and advertise for the "Barn2" keyword, which is not allowed. Previously my VA checked this manually, which isn't easy as different ads run in different countries. So today I used Claude code to create a plugin to do weekly checks and email her when it finds out something.

@BlakeWhittle7 @jamesckemp Same. Openclaw was a fun experiment but massive waste of time. I think conceptually the idea makes sense but the time involved isn’t worth it in my opinion.
English

I’ve ended my OpenClaw experiment, and have transitioned to Claude Cowork. MUCH better. I hate saying “game changer” but it is. Setup my Voiceprint thanks to @jamesckemp. Claude knows my voice much better than OpenClaw who could never remember anything.
I’ve been able to connect DataForSEO and firecrawl, have it build an index of all of the blog posts and support docs. Ran an SEO audit of the ones that are weak, moderate, and strong. It uncovered some keyword cannibalization and overlap! I can even ask it to help me find new topics with titles, primary & secondary keywords without overlapping existing content which I then give to @BridgetMWillard to knock out.
Every month, I have to gather email stats from Campaign Monitor into a sheet with open rates, clicked, delivered CTOR, etc for a client. Took me around 2 to do every month and hated it because it was busy work.
Spent probably 2-3 hours today building a task with Cowork that does this for me by using Chrome browser extension. Could’ve done it in 30 minutes if I didn’t try to build a Playwright script with Claude Code to take screenshots (didn’t work).
Now, it’ll do it for me automatically every month.
I’m super excited to see where Claude Cowork goes.

@jonathan_dejong @mattmedeiros I agree, I like when there’s a standardized approach.
English

@mattmedeiros I like it, even putting aside personal preferences, if only because AI is now close to inevitable and I much rather see a standardised framework for it now than in 2,3,4,5 years when every single plugin maker has made their own mess.. to me it seems like learning from the past.

Trying something new. Feel free to share if you know someone who might be interested.

Today’s AI WordPress experiment 👀🔥👇
I built a plugin called StoryGrid.
Upload one photo… and it automatically slices it into multiple featured images and assigns them across your posts.
The result? Your post grid becomes one coherent visual story.
Beautifully elegant when combined with categories.
Built with Cursor + Sonnet 4.6 and WordPress Studio.
Has anyone seen WordPress do this before?
