@art_foot It'll get tougher by the year with the workrate and injuries. Is this style sustainable? That's my worry.

It‘s a very promising project, the team is young, lack experience and still do avoidable mistakes. But the core of it are worldclass players in development. And they only get better!!! We‘ll see fascinating football in coming years. I‘m excited!

"Estoy muy orgulloso de la imagen y del juego del equipo. Viendo los dos partidos, nos habríamos merecido jugar las semifinales." "El siguiente paso es ganar la Liga." "Somos un equipo joven y tenemos que aprender, pero vamos por el buen camino. La temporada que viene mejoraremos." 🗣️ Hansi Flick

@DKostanjsak This style of play requires absolute perfection. Is this style of play sustainable in knockout competitions against elite teams? We got knocked out due to prioritizing La Liga to the point of practically not rotating especially with a paper thin squad.

Can't believe how horribly depressing so many of you guys are. Yes, we need to improve. Yes, we should've won. Yes, we make stupid mistakes. But we've got the most exciting young team on the planet. We go again next year.

If we can win La Liga, this season will still be a success. But yes, we all dream of the Champions League and what hurts the most is the fact that this team can do so much more. This is far from their ceiling. We'll only get better. Chin up, Cules.

@NealGardner_ For a second year in running, we got a decent draw and screwed up. Let's see if we even qualify for the UCL knockout next year. Shouldn't take that for granted.

Final thoughts. To get knocked out by a side that trials us by 22 points domestically, not once but *twice*, it’s inexcusable. I have A LOT of love for Hansi Flick and this squad, but said it when the draw was announced, anything less than a SF finish (at minimum) would be an automatic failure in Europe. And it is. That’s taking nothing away from Atleti. They knew how to exploit us and did it with immense efficiency, but we’ve got to look inwards. Between Inter last season and Atleti today, we’ve REALLY dropped the ball when it’s mattered.

It was a very tough challenge. We faced it with excitement and belief. We never gave up and kept believing until the very end. We came very close, but it wasn’t meant to be. We will be back.

Barcelona fans are right o have expectations of competing for the Champions League, and given how this team has captured our imagination, it's earned. For next season things have to be better, especially at the back.

Ahir ens va deixar el meu avi. I el Barça li ha fet el millor regal de tots. Una d'aquelles persones que feien millors a la resta. Com el gaudiries aquest equip, avi.

The fundamental disconnect between the United States government and the public regarding the social contract lies in the transition from a "rule-of-law" framework to a "rule-of-experts" bureaucracy. This began with Obama, weaponized during Biden and not corrected by Trump. Historically, the American social contract was predicated on a set of stable, predictable rules that applied equally to all, allowing individuals to pursue their own interests within a known framework. However, the modern political class increasingly views the social contract not as a guarantee of process, but as a mandate for specific social outcomes. This shift empowers unelected officials to bypass the constitutional constraints that were originally intended to protect the citizenry from the whims of those in power. When the government treats the law as a flexible instrument for achieving "social justice" or economic engineering, it effectively discards the consent of the governed in favor of the visions of the anointed. This erosion of the traditional contract creates a profound sense of betrayal among the public, who find themselves subject to costs and consequences they never authorized. While the intelligentsia in Washington operates on the "constrained vision", believing they possess the superior knowledge to manage the lives of millions, the average citizen deals with the "unconstrained" reality of rising inflation, failing schools, and a legal system that often prioritizes the rights of those who break the law over those who abide by it. The disconnect is not merely a policy disagreement; it is a fundamental difference in how the two groups perceive the role of the state. For the public, the contract is broken when the government stops being a referee and starts trying to be the director of the play, especially when its direction leads to a series of predictable, yet unacknowledged, disasters.

With God‘s will, this year has been a true revelation for me & a test for my endurance, strength and faith. 2025 has been extremely successful year in professional terms. But it was also one of the worst years in private terms. I can finally reveal that I‘m stronger after Cancer.

After nearly two years of aggressive yet successful treatments, the time has come to take an extremely important step in my cancer journey. I am scheduled for a living-donor liver transplant in the next few weeks. As I write this message, I am filled with gratitude for all the support I've received over the past two years, and for my donor, who is taking an unbelievable act of bravery and love for me. These past two years have tested me in ways I never imagined, but they've also shown me the incredible power of community and purpose. Throughout this journey, I have met some of the most amazing people who have deeply impacted my life for the better. I would not have been able to endure all that's come my way on this road without my wife, my family, my friends, and the community around me. With Gratitude, Eric

A Personal Update on Eric & EPB Research: Those who know me personally remember that I successfully fought a battle with liver cancer in 2005. This past weekend, I went to the emergency room with abdominal pain, and unfortunately, various scans found a recurrence of liver cancer - nearly 20 years later. This begins another difficult battle, but one I am prepared to fight with tremendous support from friends and family. I’m sincerely grateful for the unbelievable messages of support, encouragement, and prayer that I’ve received over the last several days. While receiving news like this is difficult, the most emotional part has been all of my friends and family who are ready to stop what they are doing and join this fight with me. It’s impossible to put into words how thankful I am for the people in my life. Times like this put into perspective how family and friends are the most important thing in a person's life. Everything else is secondary. I must give special thanks to my wife. I love you endlessly. You’re a special person, and you make my life so much better every day. As I’ve told clients and colleagues, nothing will change for EPB Research. I will continue to produce the highest quality research and insights with the most minimal disruptions possible. I am deeply passionate about the work that I do, and it’s important to stay motivated, active, and, of course, to never stop learning. I won’t go missing; you will continue to see me on Twitter, YouTube, and all the regular places. I’m profoundly grateful for the support. I’ve received messages that I will never forget. This doesn’t mark the end, only a new beginning. Now it’s time to get to work. Sincerely, Eric
