I’ve come to the conclusion that LLMs by themselves don’t make software less stable. What they do however is amplify Murphys Law to a level most developers have never seen. I think we’re going to see a real difference between software “development” and “engineering”.

If I produced a coding agent, effectively an IDE, that would definitely have some VSCode fork in it, how stupid do you think I would be? I mean I have to agree, that's a stupid idea, right? But I just keep doing it.

@akinkunmi The browser loop is a bigger deal than people think. Once an agent can inspect the actual UI instead of guessing from code, it starts closing the gap between writing features and verifying they really work.

I love how Codex has an in-app browser and can click around.

Tech companies are still making developers invert binary trees on a whiteboard just to get hired. But the exact second they get the job, they just use Claude to write 90% of their production code. What exactly are technical interviews even testing for at this point?
