@Battseii @fata1punch this!! he’s one of the book’s major antagonists who drives the story forward, yet we barely see him actually acting as one (we’re only just starting to see more of that now, 1 episode left in the season)

@fata1punch @vmprlstt he was Rashid then and a side character but Armand is important to the plot and they watered down his character to basically nothing, we’ve had no genuine plot with him except for his like 2 minute DM scenes, each chance we’ve had to see him in action its happened off screen.

on another note i feel bad for assad, during all promo he was asked about armand's arc and give vague answers. everyone thought it was bc he was trying to be careful with information when in reality armand simply didn't have an established individual development arc this season

@Talvarezxyxs ik he isn't and i genuinely loved his scenes this season. but i can't help feeling a bit disappointed, especially about the lack of depth in his scenes with lestat in the past. still, i think it's something they could fix in s4 with more flashbacks :)

@vmprlstt He was all over creation the first two seasons. He's beheaded the couple of the century and made the most hateful fledgling ever. I think he had plenty reasons to stay mum. He'll be back. We all love (to hate) him. Assad is a doll and mad talented. He not going anywhere.

@fiaooc this, and we're talking about one of the most important characters in the books. it's so crazy we have to beg for him to be onscreen

@vmprlstt We all thought he was being cryptic to avoid spoilers. Nobody would have guessed it was bc Armand basically has no actual arc this season. 10 min in 6 episodes, I feel v bad for Assad too.

@clippaki !!! this. and in most of his scenes, he isn't even the one doing the most talking, he's just there listening to another character speak. like what happened...

@vmprlstt Imagine having an immensely talented actor like Assad at your disposal and literally giving him nothing to do except closing episodes in a cliffhanger for the entire season. Shameful.

@armandism_ 😭😭 it's crazy that in s2 we had so armand monologues about his story and his character and here we got nothing
