146M Americans do not have a passport. 40M eligible voters do not have access to their birth certificate. 69M women do not have a birth certificate that matches their married name. The SAVE Act denies the right to vote for millions of Americans by requiring specific forms of ID that millions of U.S. citizens do not have, and requiring them to effectively pay a poll tax, which is illegal, in order to get those documents to vote. The SAVE Act is voter suppression. Republicans know that Trump has made them deeply unpopular, so they know they need to cheat to win.

Conservatives generally defend Voter ID laws by insisting that all voters will be able to figure out how to get a valid ID, so the law won't disenfranchise anyone. But the truth is that a certain small percentage of voters actually won't be able to figure it out, which means that a certain percentage will be defacto disenfranchised. And that is all the MORE reason to put these laws in place. If you're so dumb, befuddled, and incompetent that you can't manage to perform such a basic task, then you are not qualified to vote. You don't deserve to have a say over the direction of the country. Stay home and let the competent adults handle it.

"100% disability" Has nothing to do with whether or not you can work, or "do things" It has more to do with the lasting effects on your body that have taken their tolls. Chronic pain, limited motion, neuropathy, PTSD, exposure to toxic chemicals.. Tons of rated disabilities that you can't "see"

I saw that episode — neither of them should have been on disability. At most, the husband should have access to VA medical. But there wasn’t shit wrong with her. My neighbor recently retired as an E7 — guessing he pulls in $3,500. He also gets $4,500 from the VA. … about $8k for the rest of his life, and he’s about 42yrs old. And there’s literally nothing wrong with him. I observe, and I see him doing things that a 100% disabled person just wouldn’t. … it’s a scam.

Unless I’m mistaken, isn’t the purpose of disability because otherwise you can’t work? Ya know, do to the disability. It’s not some forever endless reward for having served your country. I know may folks whom receive high level disability and still work full time hours. I simply don’t understand this benefit. Plenty of people have back breaking jobs and it takes a toll on them.
