Vision Zero continues to shape conversations about street safety in Indianapolis. Last August, the Council passed the Vision Zero proposal, creating a task force and the city’s first Vision Zero Administrator. In December, the first Action Plan was adopted⬇️

Lee Hamilton was a giant at home in Indiana and a deeply respected leader on the international stage. He embodied the best kind of Hoosier values with his principled, steady leadership across a remarkable career in public service. I was fortunate to know him and to learn from his example, one that is particularly instructive in these times. He will be greatly missed.

I'm deeply saddened by the passing of former Indiana Congressman Lee Hamilton. A champion of bipartisanship and a true Hoosier icon,  his legacy shaped Congress and extended far beyond it, especially his work at Indiana University.   We honor Congressman Hamilton's lifelong commitment to public service and the lasting impact he leaves on our nation.
