Or Angels in Medicine: "estimates suggest roughly 100,000 Ukrainians have lost limbs since the war began, a number that continues to climb daily". Let's convert that to fatalities: According to US official data for Iraq 2001-2015 (source: congress.gov/crs-product/RS…) there were 812 major limb amputees and 4,497 KIAs, i.e. 5.5 deaths per major limb amputee. For Vietnam the ratio was 11:1. The ratio for Ukraine is probably higher than Iraq? If it's even 7:1 and Ukrainian amputees are *very conservatively* 50k, that's 350k Ukrainian KIAs. 60k amputees means >400k KIAs, etc. Even if Russian KIAs are 400k (anti-Putin Mediazona estimates 352k) and Ukraine 300k, that's a disaster for Ukraine in a war of attrition with far less manpower than Russia. How many "parameters"?

I have always been pro-ukraine and reasonably optimistic about the situation, but I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams that (1) Ukraine would be that good on all axis, and (2) that Russia would suck so much. It's amazing.

Could you imagine the international uproar if Ukraine spent 15 hours sending 1500 missiles and drones into population centers all over Russia, mainly into apartment buildings, killing 15 people, including children? Russia just did this, and no one cares, especially the White House.

It was a Kh-101 missile that struck a residential building in Kyiv, according to preliminary data. The missile was manufactured in the second quarter of this year. This means Russia is still importing the components, resources, and equipment necessary for missile production in circumvention of global sanctions. Stopping Russia’s sanctions evasion schemes must be a genuine priority for all our partners.

@joni_askola Tbh cope cages don't do anything for fpv drones, they do protect a bit from grenade drops and barely do anything against Javelins and other multistage rockets.

Even Israel clearly isn’t prepared for the threat of FPV drones, especially fibre-optic ones that can’t be jammed. Europe’s readiness is sadly even worse. The near-complete lack of cope cages in photos or videos of recent exercises in Europe worries me
