some of my more burning thoughts lately are... - can be diagnosed with something terrible at any time... so everything related to money and business is a waste of time after some baseline financial level is achieved - we literally only live once - thinking about a total skill reset... going to medical school level thinking - every essay/video/story about someone with ungodly amounts of wealth is a distraction from the gods to throw us off course of what actually matters - most of the mega wealth being generated (that we hear about) is generated from immoral or pointless technologies that are net negatives on society - I'd like to learn piano and guitar - I'm 38 and wonder what my 48 year old self will say about what I am doing

I am entering post-post-success. Anyone else?

@vrexec Yep! I think its a major hidden gem. I mean its not hidden, people do know about it. But its literally one of the two places europe that have great weather in the winter Very hilly though and the driving is crazy. And it has many microclimates. But I do love it. Eternal spring.

u guys need to read up on the recorded levels of depression among young people who are both filthy rich and unemployed (and not employers). some eye-opening stuff in there for those who are finding it difficult to conceptualize what a realistic post-scarcity, post-work future will actually feel like.

I just found a yt channel of a person who 4 years ago FIREd with 70k€ portfolio + working 2 months per year . 2026 will be the first year she will not work at all and will live completely off of the portfolio gains. She looked like a super happy, content person living a great life.

I only have authority on Europe and here this is very much correct. You can live a great life with 600k. I also think financial tech will improve and safe, stable yields of 6-10% without any volatility and very little risk will come the norm in the future. Buying back months is a great reframing.
