Cosplaying him for RTX the first time is the first time I truly how yt RWBY as a series is. He’s one of two brown/dark skin characters during the Beacon arc and doesn’t even have a single line of dialogue.

Nora genuinely has one of the strongest through lines in the series. Going from a one-note gag character who’s inseparable from Ren, to choosing to put that relationship on pause to discover who she is on her own is very natural and refreshing arc for her to take.

Pyrrha’s death, while a powerful moment, has come to feed more to me like her being fridged for Jaune’s sake than the tragic, and ultimately pointless, sacrifice they were going for. He’s the only named character who mourns her, and only comes up to rehash that Jaune loved her
